Sam could have sworn he saw someone watching them, thinking that he was finally getting the hang of being undercover. So he had remembered what Natasha had taught him and kissed her in order to keep their cover from being blown. Though despite the fact that the kiss honestly felt nice, he found himself hoping that it had been the right move.

When they broke apart he surveillanced, seeing if he could spot the man that he was sure was watching them. Of course this was when he noticed that the man had never been watching them, but in fact had been watching his kids shopping nearby. When Sam realized his mistake he deflated, groaning as his screw up sunk in.

"False alarm, thought a guy was watching us.. but he was just keeping an eye on his kids that had been walking behind us." he grumbled. "Dammit.. I hate this.. I'm the worst at this kind of stuff.." he mumbled. "Maybe I should call Steve and have him switch with me, I'm not cut out for this."

            “Sorry, sorry!” Clint flinches slightly as he continues to work the knots out of Nat’s hair, albeit even more gently than he was before. She’d come back from missions looking worse for wear before, but this is something of a new low. Her beautiful red hair, normally perfectly tamed, now lay matted and knotted beneath his fingers as he tries to work the locks out. This isn’t the first time he’s done her hair, but it’s definitely the most challenging. “I told you I wasn’t good enough for this. Maybe you should’ve showered first- wait, you said that’d just make it worse, never mind.” Stroking the brush downward, he straightens out another kink and sighs with relief. “Alright, one down, only like, eighty-four more to go…”

“This is gonna hurt. A lot. But it’ll be quick. I need to pop it back into place.”

“ I’ve dislocated shoulders before... Make it fast. None of that ‘count to three’ shit, ” Bucky said through gritted teeth. He trying to ignore the way his right arm hung limply at his side, bolts of bright pain radiating out from the socket. However, he had to admit, having someone else to reset the joint would be a lot better than earlier attempts to do it himself. And if he trusted anyone that much, it would be the redhead standing before him.
