Who’s more dominant: Sergej. Look at Regulus! He has his hands full being his own person, he’s not ready yet to take on anyone elses life too.
Who’s the cuddler: Men don’t cuddle... Sergej likes to stay close to Regulus, the kid looks like he could faint any second. Or fall over and die... He’s too delicate for this world, even if his mind is further up ahead. Ressurection seems to suck. Big time.
Who’s the talkative person: None. Regulus likes to read and Sergej likes to be on his own too much, drinking his whiskey and listening to pages being turned. They are used to fill the silence with more comfortable silence. It might be that Regulus speaks more words since he seems to be the more sociable one.
What’s their favorite activity: Nothing much. Avoiding people - mostly - and the ones that think they can throw pity at them and actually think they would accept that.
Who uses all the hot water: Regulus uses the water because Sergej would die before he’d let the kid bath in ice water. There’s no way Sergej’d take all the water while the kid already seems to be made of ice. His fingers are always cold and Sergej sometimes takes those fingers into his hands to keep them warm.
Thing(s) they fight over: Right and wrong. The use of people dieing and the use of bringing them back. Though they agree on it being an action that would only be there to lessen the burden of those who caused them to die in the first place. Resurrection is a rather selfish action to be honest.
Who does most of the cleaning: They are pretty tidy although Sergej does the most cleaning in the kitchen - his territory - and in their bedroom. Regulus has a house elf that does the cleaning when Sergej isn’t looking and can’t complain about their flat actually being small enough to not need that kind of help.
What sleeps while watching horror movie: Again, who needs horror movies? Regulus got resurrected, which makes him a zombie of sorts and Sergej has lost his wife right in front of his eyes and still dreams about her empty eyes - which is more terrifying than anything else. I guess they have seen enough.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: None. Sergej doesn’t have the time and actually doesn’t even notice, since his body heat seems to be constant. Regulus is always cold, but he’s not complaining while he can suck all the heat from Sergej’s body.
Who’s the reckless and destroys things: Regulus. Sergej has cast a few charms to make his kitchen unbreakable at the very least. Regulus doesn’t even scream or cry when he’s hurt, but always comes to Sergej to silently shove his cut hand (or whatever injury) right under his nose. Sergej sighs mildly irritated and grabs for the kiddie band aids that Reg has bought and puts them on for him.
Who does grocery shopping: Sergej. Reg would buy ridiculous stuff otherwise. Like those kiddie band aids that he’s bought in a dozen or the cake decorations that no one really needed.
Who remembers anniversaries: Both. Regulus remembers his own death, while Sergej remembers his wife’s death, for example. They don’t celebrate anything. Not really. There’s just too muc doom and gloom around them.
Who cooks normally: Sergej. He’s just the better cook and Reg would only cut off his fingers, although he’s capable of helping out. Sergej just doesn’t feel at ease if the boy holds a knife...
How often do they fight: Not too often. It’s odd that whenever they begin they agree quickly. Their conversations are too odd, consisting of funny looks and sighs that seem to tell them all they need to know.
What do they do after fight: Time-out. They seperate for a few hours, which is more symbollical because Sergej doesn’t like it when Reg is on his own. The kid is just too strange and would do whatever without someone who keeps an eye on him. Their alone time is thus spend in one room but in different corners. The close proximity also makes it easier to make up afterwards.
Nicknames for each other: None. It might be due to them both not really liking the shortened versions of their names or cute nicknames in public or in bed.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner: They don’t go out for dinner. But Reg likes to push money on Sergej. As an Auror his payment might be good, but not so good to cook them a feast every day, but since Reg likes expensive food... the rest is self-explenatory.
Who kissed who first: Regulus kissed Sergej first. That man can’t take a hint and it was rather frustrating for Reg - not that he emotion was anywhere on his face.
Who made the first move: Regulus. Again. Because Sergej can’t believe that anyone would take an interest in a man that’s double their age.
Who remembers things: Sergej remembers. He always does. He’s even remembered to compare all the reasons on why the two of them is the worst idea ever. But actually it doesn’t feel too bad.
Who started the relationship: Regulus. See reasons above.
Who curses more: Sergej... or maybe Regulus... depending on what time in their lives one refers to and when one speaks of actual ‘curses’. Sergej had to learn curses throughout his school and in a duel one might slip out of his mouth to stop his opponent. He’s not as squeamish as some might think, though he likes to keep things as close to the book as he can. Regulus on the other hand... well...
A head canon: It’s the first time that they stand this close together and Sergej is actually a bit wary of the young man who’s younger in body than in mind. In mind he’s probably as old as him, with all the things that he’s seen and gone through, which makes Sergej feel ancient. It’s his wife’s anniversary that (funny enough) is close to Reg’s own death. So they stand there in complete silence. Regulus two steps behind him and to his left. Sergej turns around, while Regulus takes a step forward, invading the older man’s space. “Tell her to look away.” Is what Reg says before he leans up on his tip-toes to place a cold kiss on Sergej’s lips.In the end Sergej thinks that his broad frame and his turned up coat collar was enough to hide that kiss from his wife’s gravestone. Though he’s prayed for forgiveness when, the next year, he comes with Reg, hands linked together. Surely, his wife will understand.
