Eyes and Flys (Long Beach, CA) are one of those bands who live by the word consistent. Their album covers all have at least ONE fly. If they make music, they usually put it out via 7" (since 2019 they've released an astounding 9 7"s. They've also released a full length 12" and a cassette). Their "master" is Will Killingsworth.
The band overall make noise first, melody second. Their sound is reminiscent of Spray Paint, The Clog, Swell Maps (great nod to the band with the album name) and Deaf Wish.
This LP (along with most of the band's output) is self-released.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are an Australian band that has made it to the “big time”. Other bands have been on American labels - Deaf Wish and Dick Diver come to mind. But Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever is the band that somehow made it “big”. I’ll never understand what makes one band popular while another similar one languishes in obscurity.
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are absolutely worthy of success. They haven’t sold out their Australian pop sounds influenced by the likes of The Triffids, Paul Kelly, Dick Diver, Twerps or The Go-Betweens. I’m guessing they were simply in the right place at the right time.
