So does stan not know about rio? When she was tslling him what happened did she just leave him out? Because shes like 'we have someone looking after us".. She didn't tell him? Also why do you think beth fantasizes of rio breaking stuff?
Well, we know for a fact that Stan knows about Rio by 2.07, because Dean tries to get Stan to help him scare / hurt Rio (which: hahaha, god, Dean), and in the process of it clarifies that Stan knows who Dean’s talking about. I’ve always thought that Ruby did tell Stan everything that had happened so far in 2.01, and then was more reluctant sharing details because of his hurt and anger, until they were really both back on Team Hill.
That said, I think she probably downplayed the connection that Beth has to Rio, likely out of loyalty to Beth, so it would make sense that Rio wouldn’t be something Stan would automatically leap to when thinking about someone looking out for them.
And honestly, I highly doubt Ruby would’ve told Stan about Beth sleeping with Rio, at least at this stage, again out of loyalty to Beth, although I don’t doubt Stan probably suspects it post-2.07 given Dean’s desire to hurt the guy.
As for why Beth fantasises about Rio breaking stuff - I think it comes down to the fact that she’s attracted to Rio’s power, and his ability to command and control situations. Beth has spent at least half of her life in freefall and totally epitomises that quote - “I don’t know if I want to be you, or be with you” (and as I say every time too - spoiler alert: it’s both, haha).
We know that Beth has a destructive streak a mile wide too, but she’s so often so repressed and so prone to disassociating, she doesn’t give herself the freedom to do it. And I think when she sees not only the freedom with which Rio acts destructively, but also the fact that he utilises that to come out on top? I think she just wants that, both with him and for herself.
