Ok, so a hobby thing that just randomly popped into my head recently is food photography. It seemed easy, since I already own a decent camera and a tripod, and, most importantly, my cooking energy is returning.
The idea is temporarily postponed, as it turned out I lost that thing that attaches the camera to the tripod...
I am LITERALLY three scenes away from finishing a fanfic I started in 2020, and it's... confusing? They're not even the final scenes, just the 'ugh, I'll write that later' kind of scenes. So this festive season please wish me I write at least one before the year ends, please?
Random thoughtof the day:
Steven Universe should be listed among the best cosmic horrors ever created.
I mean, ok, I'm fairly certain people invested in the trope could name a dozen hidden gems (pun unintended but highly appropriate) that top it, but in popular culture? Lovecraft is just cosy aesthetics stories compared to the dread I felt when we first learned about Diamonds' colonial politics and their plans for Earth.
Sometimes - very often, in fact - I feel shy reblogging fanart, if I am not familiar with the source material.
I've just seen a roll on IG, which showed a two-step drawing of a girl putting on her bra and then a woman laughing her ass off saying she can't believe "there are people who actually put their bra on that way".
After browsing the comment section, I have learned the following:
I. There are three distinct ways in which bra-wearers put their bras on
Put it on from the front, then reach with your hands to your back to fasten the clasp.
Fasten the clasp first, then put it on through your head like a top.
Fasten the clasp in the front, then rotate the whole thing, then put the straps on.
II. A significant number of people (in each group) were shocked to learn that the way they're putting their bra on is not the way everybody puts their bra on.
Moral of the story?
I'm too tired to eloquently write it but just think about it the next time you see a video or read a post claiming that "women do X" or "girls want Y" or "chicks love Z".
Just because a woman says it doesn't make it true for everybody.
885 words today.
That makes it around 1000 words so far this year XD
I just wanted to say that getting assesed for autism as an adult woman is a fucking joke.
On the bright side, I am experimenting with artichokes right now.
