•───────•°•❀•°•───────• my name's vince, i'm an aspiring indie game dev working on a very long project with my programmer. I also draw and write, here I will mainly rant about games I like, post drawings, or talk about my worldbuilding.

[showcase of some of my stupid oc sketches. currently learning how to color on digital, so have mercy on me. i am a fast learner so i will learn soon enough once i'm actually in the mood to.]

the two top drawings are of my project's protagonist, ashen. he's an amnesiatic archivist loser who would be the equivalent of a cinema nerd in our modern day and age. stay tuned if you reading this want to hear updates on how he fumbles his next adventure.

fun fact -> i have a scar on my right leg from kicking a window due to god-like reflexes [had to stomp this annoying asf fly] and the window unceremoniusly broke and it cut me, paralyzed my leg for a couple of days, and then left a scar to remind me of how badass i was. I LIKE INTERACTING, INTERACT WITH ME

i have nothing to talk about. this is an accurately portrayed chibi of yore. yore is a half ghost with non functioning wings. don't be like yore =⁠_⁠=

oc sketches that i probably wont finish and will forget about tomorrow. HE'S ASHEN!! he's supposed to be the protagonist of my passion project [to which i put a doc in my pinned post with every sort of essential info of my worldbuilding.] he wants to be an actor but he's sort of a director, that's how his character sort of is :D

THIS is yore. finally drew him on digital but it's still in progress. specially since im getting sick by drawing all day and staring at screens so, full sketches will come out in some days probably.

anyyway, he's a ghost. and his homeworld is called 'the garden', it's essentially put a resting place for the dead. specifically, those who do not have a grave to bind them to a physical place. they all end up here. moreover their body morphs depending on the reason of their physical death.

for yore that's falling. as a consequence he desires to fly. but can't.

he also had to guard the door of his world, nobody can really come out of it. so after desiring for escape [to fly.] he renounces his role as a 'warden' so to speak, and opens said door. which leads to world corruption.

and which leads to him being exiled.

also about the garden since everyone there is so obsessed with getting over their death reason it is a violent society.

fun stuff to mention about yore.. he likes eggs. he'd be the type to go over the speed limit while driving. like all the time. and i really think that songs that fit him the most is rule #4 fish in a birdcage.

I took the whole day to get my ideas back on track to finish writing this. I carefully scrapped ideas i had and whatnot. this really is very important to me (￣▽￣)ノ i still can't believe i've written this, it really seems like nothing but i had NO ideas some years ago, just some ocs i wanted to use and very comforting games i looked up to like for instance Kingdom Hearts and Bioshock. [IF anyone is interested in helping in any way i'm not averse to it :)] I WILL SOON ADD DRAWINGS AND UPDATE!!

oh my god ventus ventus ventus

i think I'll... copypaste a poem i personally made about him some days ago.

"Oh, like the winds, my heart flutters as your hair flows with your movement, oh my guide.

Your eyes, sparkling like coal, sparkling like the deepest depths of misty nights, what could I ever do without you?

Then I pray, to you, my Muse, that you appear before me as no one else has ever dared before. That you be my star. That you lead me through this mist."

i am perfectly sane. my poem-like blood just spikes up naturally when i think of the most wonderful oc I've ever done.

I'm losing it. I'm so tired i want to slime ventus [my oc.] out. I'm going to design him on digital very very soon. anyway I'm going to ramble about him now.

the day to which I'll be a new person is just getting closer. only i know what will happen when i will design him completly on digital..

this is how my sketchbook looks like everyday. genuinely can't do this anymore.

okay so I'll now talk about him since it's not like I've set a very unlikely achievement by the end of the week I've bound to complete or I'll get executed ^⁠_⁠_⁠^

ventus is JUST a normal guy. would be if the emperor of the world he lives in didn't hate him SO vehemently. although I can't blame him. imagine being told by -unknown source- your perfect regime and control will only end because a very stubborn guy, who also took your son away from you, decides he has to kill you to resolve his problems.

which also begins a cycle of the emperor starting a manhunt for ventus, ventus being unjustly accused and having to live a rogue life, leading also to ventus having grudges against him.

I'd justify the hate.

okay so the world they live in is called Lumen and physically it's a comet. It's always night, alas around sometime of their year when it's always sunny, they praise the sun.

also the terrain is dusty/icy, there are many star symbols and I've taken inspiration from ancient rome <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠>

now back to ventus, he's also musically inclined. that helps him too in being a hired assassin. as he takes bounties to get just enough to eat and rent new places. i think it'd aid him in being sneaky especially. being able to pick out different sounds and steps is VERY useful to him.

in a modern au i see him potentially having a bass. not as much a guitar because he's never at the center of the attention it's more about being in the background and making sure everything works out.

something to mention is that he's SNARKY.

and occasionally gets into fights.

he's wolf in sheep's clothing coded, his HOME sees him as a bad omen. as if he's bringing death with him. not only that but he got disowned, so the only family he has is his little sister.

aand he has a very deep and also loud, guy IS vocal about it, dislike against aristocrats.

in his perspective, every high ranking individual is guilty of not helping the poorer classes. specifically, him.

by being vocal i don't mean ventus trying to persuade people into fighting for whatever cause he has, but by making it known that he's against them and he dislikes them. also stemming from his own feeling of abandonment by everyone.

he wasn't helped, so he'll make it a point to show them he helped himself no matter who he ends up being like as he continues to survive.

but also it has to be mentioned that he's very selfish. he only helps himself.

also last thing I'll mention is his blatant neglect of himself. he will survive because he has to, and another note to mention is that he has to look after his little sister, but he has no care for what he ends up seeing in himself by doing so, he continues living through rancour.
