@darthvatrix i’ll respond to you here out of courtesy to the op
You could also deconstruct why the locus of the cotton ceiling is in the white communities. You could also deconstruct why white trans women have a heavy preference for Cis gender women. If you can honestly answer these 2 questions, you would resolve the debate. But as long as you don’t treat sexual orientations as real as you do gender identity. Your community will continue to cross the sexual boundaries of lesbians and queer women.
look, i have my fair share of problems with white-centric lgbt+ politics and communities myself. but using whiteness as a scapegoat to throw trans people/women as a whole under the bus doesn’t actually help lgbt+ black people/people of color. saying “white trans women are in less danger than trans woc, so we don’t need to discuss the danger trans women are in” does not help trans women of color. it marginalizes their issues, but through a different lens. we do need to discuss why trans woc are in much more danger of assault/murder than their white counterparts, but we can’t do that by shutting down conversation altogether.
as for the cotton ceiling/preference for cis women argument, you’ll have to back that up. i agree that with the idea that cis lesbians shutting trans lesbians out of dating pools exists, and that it is bad and discriminatory, but i’ve never heard of trans women preferring cis women until now.
Well, it's been some time but I've joined the animation community known as Hyuns Dojo after such a long time of dreaming to join them..! And with my first collab entry, here's my part for the Christmas Raid course collab!
