          azrael was a bit nervous about coming back, her scythe had been stolen and she’d been trapped in multiple rings of holy fire before a couple of her reapers found her. she may be death but az was like a mother bear when it came to her reapers, so when josiah asked her for help she quickly came to his aid. what had happened was a travesty and az knew she’d have a lot to answer for, she just hoped that michael or lucifer weren’t planning on killing her... the angel didn’t really feel like being stuck in the empty. after halloween and jo’s theft, az decided to increase the security around her scythe in the veil- shielding the location from all her reapers. she walked in to zatanna’s shop, deciding that she might as well start there, keeping her head low “hello? anyone home?”

          at the question azrael’s eyes lit up “what? really?” the angel started bouncing on the balls of her feet, excitement taking over her small frame “yes! of course i do!” she grabbed gabriel’s hand and dragged him towards the door “come on, let’s go and play!”

          azrael leaned against the metal railing of the bridge as she watched a young woman from a distance. it was times like these when az wished she could let the guardian angels step in and keep this from happening, but when it was her time and it couldn’t be changed. it was a dismal way to think about it, but at least she would be free of the tortures her mind had put her through... not that hell would be much better. “it’s so sad to see a young life end so early.” she let out a sigh before looking at jack as he stood beside her “mind you, it’s no where near as sad as when i run into cupid at the nursery in a hospital but still sad.” her dark eyes moved back to the girl as she sat on the railing of the bridge, looking at the water below her. “jack, you are more than welcome to stay behind if you don’t think you can do this.”

          she wasn’t mad at charlie, sure she probably looked like it as she essentially stormed towards the reaper, but az wasn’t mad with her... she was mostly mad at herself. “you, stay right there.” she pointed at charlie. once az was in front of her she placed her hands over where her wound would have been, a bright light flashing as she removed any trace of it from her form “i should ground you... not ground you cause i’m not your parent but ground you like clip your wings... not that-“ az let out a frustrated sigh “you know what i mean.”

          azrael was a strange character, he’d admit it. it wasn’t something that overly bothered him, but it did make a few things difficult. one thing he was good at though, was making friends, and when he got word that joph was finally coming back down to earth... well, he got a little excited. can you blame him though? it’d been ages since they’d been able to actually talk, and az was tired of all the stares shared between them. so maybe he had bought some flowers and put them around the magic shop, knowing he’d turn up there soon. he walked into the shop, ready to go through more of the possibly deadly objects zatanna had assigned him, but stopped in his tracks when he saw jophiel. az recovered quickly, a smirk forming on his face “well, long time no see sunshine.”

          azrael skipped as she made her way to the address that raz had given her, the place his bonded human lived. it must have been odd for those that knew her, seeing death positively giddy, but could you blame her? after so many years of heartache and searching, she had him back and death couldn’t be happier. she wanted to spend more time with him, so she went to the human’s house ready to summon razael if necessary. “raz! razzmatazz!” she knocked on the door waiting for him to answer but was surprised when neither raz or his bonded didn’t answer. she furrowed her brows, frowning at the male “you’re not my raz.”

          azrael froze, shocked at what she was hearing. the angel didn’t get many compliments even though she loved hearing them, being around so much death and dead souls made them few and far between... but she was mostly surprised to hear it coming from asmodeus. “sorry... what?”

          az frowned slightly before lowering herself to the ground, her wings pulling together to be as small as possible “sorry, i can’t reach the higher parts without flying.”
