Books and books and nothing. Nothing useful, nothing helpful, nothing new, not a damn thing. She shouldn’t be shocked, it’d been a reality she had accepted so long ago. Acceptance of that helplessness and inability to change things. But now she knew better, now she knew things could be changed. She just needed to figure out how. It’d been one of the reasons she stopped in the first place, that defeat over the lack of progress and the heartbreak that came with each failure. Now... now she knew there was something to find. There wasn’t an excuse to quit, she couldn't quit, if not for her own sake then those who loved her. Not just the romantic love either. Her family didn’t need her curse intertwined with them, there was already enough to deal with on different fronts. Not to mention Cupid... she was putting so much on Cupid, and with so little to offer in return. Right now, it was all on Cupid and that was something that needed to change. Asta slammed the book down, knocking it out of her sight because she couldn’t bare to look at it for the risk she would have ripped it up. “The author,” She inhaled deeply, trying to sate her own frustration. “I have to start these books by checking the author and publication date.” There were little books from the 21st century that would be much help, only the older text would offer the knowledge she needed. Checking reliability on the source wasn’t something she’d prioritized before she’d wasted so much nice on what was unreliable. “Dammit.” Asta cursed once more.
