So the Little Man is a big fan of Fallout. He’s explained the premise of the video game to me a few times, and I’m still a little fuzzy on what’s going on, but I’ve gathered that American culture, in the game, froze about 1950, but nuclear power got bigger than it did in real life. So… I’m not likely to ever play the game. I just don’t do video games. But he was gifted a number of themed items…
Need your agility boosted slightly for an hour? This might do the trick, or it might put you in a delicious butter-flavored food coma for that hour and making you an easier target. You decide! Recipe under the cut.

Ingredients:
(Makes 1 steak)
1 large t-bone steak, at least 1 1/2 inches thick
Salt and pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
3 Tbsp butter
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
Pat the steak dry and season it liberally on both sides with salt and pepper. Let it sit for 30 minutes. In a large cast iron pan, warm the olive oil over high heat until it begins to smoke slightly. Lay the steak in the hot oil and cook it for four minutes, flipping it often, until a golden crust begins to form on the outside.
Add the butter, shallot, garlic, and rosemary to the pan. Tilt the pan slightly to allow the butter and olive oil to collect on one side and spoon it over the steak, focusing on the paler parts of the steak. Continue to flip it often, until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak reads 150 degrees F.
Remove the steak from the pan and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before consuming for that agility boost.
