AU: 400 Years Ago
A brunette groaned, sitting up. What had happened? She had been running and collapsed somewhere. How long had she been out? But there was something more important. Right, the Phoenix Stone! Was it safe?! She checked her palm and let out a sigh of relief. She knew that this was very important. The memories were fuzzy and starting to fade, but that didn't matter. With the way she was dressed she knew that she stood out, and not in a good way.
That night she took refuge in a hollow tree. She knew nothing of survival skills, nothing of being alone in the wilderness. As a strange bird sang in the distance, she began to gather her thoughts, though each time she tried they would slip out of her hands like a piece of silk.
"I am Eclair of the Fire Tribe," she whispered. "I am in charge of this stone and its protection," she nodded in affirmation. Hopefully if she said it aloud then she would remember it.
