⁹⁾ a character’s had a nightmare, and needs company to feel safe enough to go back to sleep
it had been a very long time since sunday shared his bed with someone. the last time was during his childhood, shortly after the tragedy that had torn him from his home planet and brought him to penacony. back then, he preferred robin's company. his sister's presence making it easier to fall asleep after gopher or a servant read them a bedtime story. but those days were long past. now his bed remained untouched. most of his time was spent in the dreamscape. and so by default he spent his nights alone.
but tonight was different. he found himself in his bed in the real world. a knock echoed throughout the quiet room, pulling him away from his drowsiness. groggily, he stood, making his way to open the door. ❝ milou ? ❞ he asked, his voice still thick with sleep, ❝ is something the matter ? ❞ milou didn't answer, not with words. instead, she slipped past him, moving with a quiet urgency to the balcony. her silence spoke louder than any confession. he let out a soft sigh, closing the door before following her.
he joined her outside, the night air cool against his skin. without a word, he gently draped a blanket over her shoulders. ❝ do you wish to talk about it, or do you simply want to sit in silence ? ❞ he offered. it was her choice. whether she needed words, silence, solutions or simply someone to share the quiet with. whatever she needed, he would be there. his arm slipped around her shoulder, his hand moving in a gentle, soothing stroke along her arm. over time, he felt the tension in her ease, but that didn't stop the soothing touch.
❝ i thought you said you would not use your powers on me. ❞ milou's voice eventually broke the quiet, her head resting against his shoulder. so she had noticed. a faint, almost sheepish smile touched sunday's lips as his expression softened. ❝ i did say that. ❞ he admitted. ❝ but this time is the exception so you'll have to forgive me. ❞
hey belle .... if you wanna get back at your brother and his boyfriend ... i know a girlie who will be ur fake date . provided u can pay .
"There are services like that?" Belle put her hand to her chin in thought, considering the suggestion. It wasn't free, huh? Of course... She still has funds left to feed her gacha account but how high was the pay she wondered. "Wait, this isn't one of Nicole's ideas, is it?"

"What are you watching?" He doubled over the back of the sofa, elbows propped against the edge just beside where her head rested. In one hand he clenched three wrapped popsicles, while the other held one to his lips. His eyes were glued to the television, but the moving images didn't register ( and they likely wouldn't until she told him what it was she had picked. )
"I'm surprised you're not out now that school's on break."
heels click along the crowded halls, head turning on a swivel. where is she, where is she ?! visible exhale upon pink crystalline hues finding firefly's companion for the night. hurried movements caused a c h e s to ease into joints, but they to not cease. it should've been a sooner realization that milou would be at the gambling tables.
❝ this is what you came for, blood on the game ball. ❞ // @deathsmaidens sc.
@deathsmaidens said 🎲 solomon ??
send 🎲 for a generated setting for our muses a cemetery at 3am sharp, the fog is making it hard to see even though they have flashlights
It feels near sacrilegious to tread where he will never lay. Death is something feared by so many ; immortality idolized without regard for the true burden it weighs. The man who has it has never sought it, never desired it, and perhaps that is why God has punished him with it for turning his back to Heaven for the embrace of his demons. But Solomon comes to the cemetery of his own accord. He might be living, but sometimes he felt like a ghost in the world.
Solomon tilts his head upwards and watches the moonlight pour down into the foggy graveyard. Every step carries him deeper into the mist. But his steps do not hesitate, they do not falter as he follows the stone path. Do these people still have those who visit them? Or have they been forgotten like so many with only stone to prove that they once existed? Solomon stops in front of an angel statue that looms out of the fog.
" They're quite the unfriendly bunch; angels. " Solomon remarks absently. " I've met several and I can say exactly zero of those encounters were pleasant. It's funny how people perceive them though. Gentle and guiding but forgetting they are God's warriors first and foremost. " Solomon laughs to himself, quiet and calm despite the memories of blood that are awoken.
The smile lingers when he speaks again. " You can come out, you know. Promise I won't bite. " Of course he's been aware of Milou's presence from the very beginning ; but he didn't mind. It was far from the first time someone had done so, it would be far from the last. " Company is rather nice. "
"Yep, that's me. Milou. You're probably wondering how I got here."
