Dear Vector Prime: have you ever encountered a being known as "The Slayer" on your travels?
Dear Doomed Deserter,
I have encountered the being known as the Slayer but once, though I believe you know him by the name Grand Scourge. Spoken of in whispers among those aware of the multiverse, Grand Scourge, the Deathtron, is Unicron’s wrathful eye. His prey is Matrix Bearers, and his weapons of choice are their very followers. With his Spark of Subjugation he can forcefully mutate and merge with any Cybertronian, giving him the strength to overpower his target and destroy the Primal Inheritance cycle with his Matrix Breaker, severing the bearer from their Matrix and indeed this mortal coil. Once this task is completed, he is prone to berserker rages, leaving bloody scars on the universe.
His story may sound familiar to you. A lowly dockworker, strong and determined, Orpheus Bellum was one of the few survivors of an attack on the Iacon Shipyards by the nascent Decepticons. Jealous by nature, Orpheus was overtaken by rage when his coworker Orion Pax was chosen by Alpha Trion to bear the Matrix and become Prime. It was in this rage that Omega Trion found him. Radicalised by the vile sage, he submitted to painful upgrades and as Scourge he was able to slay Optimus Prime early in his tenure, destroying the Matrix in the process. By the time Unicron eventually arrived above Cybertron, Scourge had become an object of fear and worship alike. Nihilistic on a cosmic level, he pledged himself to Unicron, who bestowed upon him the fearsome powers I have described to you.
A frightful foe indeed, I encountered him in my youth during a stint on Earth assisting Evac Prime. He initially ignored me and moved on Evac and his Live Matrix. A costly mistake, as I was able to use my Cyber Key Power to trap him in a time loop, then seal him out of sync with that universe. I am sure he has not forgotten this, and I am sure that the next time I bear a Matrix he will be waiting. Indeed, for many a multiversal Prime, the only thing they fear is him.
