It’s true that Viltrumite genes are insanely dominant. Mark inheriting Debbie’s eyes is straight up miraculous.

Ngl, y’know the saying that the “eyes are windows to the soul”?

Mark may have inherited Nolan’s powers and physique, but he certainly didn’t inherit the Viltrumite spirit. Yes, he could have, as seen in his other variants, but he didn’t.

He inherited Debbie’s soul. If it weren’t for Debbie’s love and care, Mark would have been a mini Nolan all throughout.

Given all things considered, Debbie’s genes tried, both literally and figuratively. She’s so strong for being such a great parent even if her son is a borderline demigod (who, given his genes, could technically be a god atp).

So, this post is over a year old, but I saw it on fanpop, and it was about how Debbie is such a bad character because she didn’t kiss Darren when they met again even though she loves him. It also mentions that Larten wouldn’t have died if she didn’t stop Darren from killing Steve. Blah, blah, blah. I think whoever wrote this missed the whole point of the series. Good doesn’t always win, sometimes they die and the bad guys win. Everything that happened to them was going to happen whether or not Debbie did anything because Mr. Tiny had it all planned. If Steve died, Darren would be Lord of Shadows, and Mr. Crepsley and everyone else who died was going to die because Mr. Tiny set everything into motion. Why not hate Mr. Tiny for doing all this shit and not Debbie for acting human. Also, not to mention that Darren physically looked, what, 14-15 when they met again? Yeah, because it’s not weird kissing someone who looks that age when you’re in your late 20′s or whatever.
