♣The sense of dread that filled my stomach when I awoke to the sound of Motown Christmas music playing on full volume, followed by the sound of dishes, and the smell of bleach, I internally died. Regretting telling my husband of when I’d clean at my Grandparent’s house as a kid. Shifting over to my side, pulling the blankets closer to me, until the door clicked opened and Satan stood in the doorway.
♣“You're finally awake. I could feel your dread from the kitchen.”
♣“Levi, it’s not even spring...” Whining before throwing yourself into a sitting position glaring at the man. “We do spring and winter cleaning.” Speaking blankly, while walking to the edge of our joint bed and grabbing onto my arm and sliding me toward him. “It’s the capitalizing Winter for me.” Muttering into his chest, feeling him place a kiss on my hair wrap.
♣“Stop being stubborn.” Leading me out of our bedroom and into the living room, thus began our winter cleaning. Mouthing along to the several songs I grew up, not noticing the look on Levi’s face as he watched me from the kitchen.
♣He was happy, beyond that even. The fact that he finally got his high school love, nothing could change that warm feeling he got. The fact he could create memories with you that one else could experience. “Levi.” Blinked out of his daze, he smiled before walking towards me and grabbing my hand. Pulling me into a hug. “What’s wrong.” He quietly hummed along, nuzzling into my neck.
♣“Just taking a break. You smell nice.” Muttering against my skin. Holding onto him, I closed my eyes. “I think I lost brain cells with all the chemicals I used in the bathroom—Your birthday is a few days away.”
♣“Do you want anything special before Eren and the others come over for Christmas?”
♣“There’s this new deluxe Windex and bleach. Limited edition. On sale. 50% off. That’s what I want and for you to not make a mess.” Placing a chaste kiss on my cheek before pulling away.
♣“I'll see what I can do.”
♣He hummed in delight and moved back into the kitchen. Softly swaying to the music, he might have not noticed it, but I did. He relished in the delights of my childhood memories and getting the chance to recreate them. “To know little Y/N-” I wondered if my childhood scrapbook would help with that. Shrugging to myself, I continued cleaning.
♣I guess I’d have to wait til’ Christmas to find out.
