Playing dress up. Remember when you were a kid how much fun it was to raid your mom's closet and play dress up? It was even more fun when you were given access to the "fancy schmancy" stuff. Nowadays there are so few occasions for those outfits that when they do have a reason to come out of the closet, it feels almost like being a kid again, doing something slightly forbidden but oh so fun, Today's glittery party dress is goes back a few years, purchased when I used to be enlisted into service to be a "seat filler" at certain fancy events around town by an event planner friend. It was not expensive, but beyond that, it's unclear how much was paid. Fortunately, there's a lot of room to work with since the shoes were only $14, and it's fairly safe to say that the dress was well under $80. All dressed up for a special occasion - guess this is what they call "adulting."
