Top Chef on Bravo: Just Desserts
From this first episode, anyone can see that Top Chef is not just an old Project Runway spin-off.Right now we see that the chefs are more resilient, more outspoken and more aggressively than the emotional kind mega-tailors of a famous episode show.In fashion, we have the opportunity to briefly meet all the elite Top Chef, from the serious-yet-bumbling Otto, the young aspiring culinary chemist, Marcel. In between is Ellie, the cook of talent sporadically with low self-esteem, Carlos, the chef so far mediocre-but-gay, and the angry white guy with the episode knife. Each is divided by a quick-cooking challenge, Dial Flame Challenge, followed by a challenge in more depth in the second half of the first image and the sound Quick Fire Challenge is to create a flambé dish in just 20 minutes. This first challenge quickly showed the biggest difference between Top Chef and that Project Runway. Namely, the track, was the winner who created the most interesting observation when it came to judging. In Top Chef, is the loss of dishes that have the most spectacular view presentation.Oh course, we had the whole Gee-whiz factor flambé trick, but when we saw Ellia Abumraud setting a meeting with her strawberries dipped in wine, even the most sympathetic viewer had to shake his head in disgust. How can not anyone know that the wine is better for dousing a fire that will transform your concoction unplanned roasted in haute cuisine? When the viewer sees the mess looks pathetic soggy courts, which most closely resembles boiled sliced mushrooms and housing oil.Sam Talbot ultimately pulls together and you gain immunity for the elimination round of the night we see next day. That the contestants are given a feast, revealing another difference in the exhibition: these cooks like their alcohol. Some of us are wondering if there is an alcoholic in the cast of characters and if this becomes a problem as the progresses. So show the day after arriving, and the courts to divide the teams into two groups, each member of a box containing a mystery unlikely assortment of 5 ingredients. Each chef must create a dish, and food will be judged as a group effort. Each team will judge the opposing team's Orange team food. The get snails, potatoes, artichokes, peanuts and cheese. They immediately started firing, and then the insults and contempt for the cheese begin to arrive. And this is where my bias comes in. I happen to like American cheese, and someone who refuses to find a place in their mouth it is only to be snot-nosed.Anyway, Ellia reveals a profound lack of self-esteem, but exposes even his real talent for the preparation and presentation. The black team receives corn flakes, frogs 'legs', chicken livers, eggplant and peanut butter. If someone has never done any cooking, it is obvious that second case was much easier to integrate into a flat box that had the Orange team. In the end, Ilan goes away with the victory for Team Orange with its nifty packages snail cooked oven. The loser, Suyai ago the knives because the potatoes and artichokes braised escargot with garlic and execrable sauce. But cheese more interesting is was the way the Orange Team identified the young Marcel and demonic, with his Frog Leg Lollipop.Several chef Marcel had said plate garlic. It too is very difficult to get too much of that particular plant, and television does not make much Marcel clear if garlic really abused. What was evident is the unspoken, almost subliminal, strategizing that occur between the cooks less talented-yet-smart to try to make a hash slinger better off at the end of show.Near, Bravo has presented a survey that allows the public to predict who would be the 'bad' this season, and Marcel has won the vote. Maybe it's the so-called bad for Marcel is obviously in contention for role. But for anyone with a modicum of awareness, it is obvious the bad guys are the cooks who have tried to connive him thrown off the show in the first episode. Marcel may be bad, could be the most daring, you may be lucky just some punk with an attitude problem, but one thing is certain, he is one to watch.
