Five ways Pride can get in the way of your happiness

Let's face it, we all have pride. Somehow, having pride can be a good thing, as when you're proud of your results, or when you're proud of your children or spouse. But other times, pride can cause chaos and stress in your life. Here are five ways pride might get in the way of your happiness1 - In the labor market. For many people, there are a lot of pride at stake in the workplace. The type of work people are willing to do for the activities involved in any process. For example, after working in a clerical work, many people begin to feel that the job worker is somehow beneath them. Similarly, many people begin to feel after being in a job for a while ', which have grown beyond the need to perform some of the more menial tasks. The problem is, unless you're very lucky, it is almost impossible to avoid having to deal with such situations at some point in any workplace. And then, you're stuck with swallowing your pride, or to leave. Neither is very conducive to happiness. The way around these situations is to ask yourself when it happens, if the stress or embarrassment you feel is due to arrogance, or logical reasoning. Perhaps you have been asked to step in because of a lack of other workers. Or maybe your company can not afford to hire someone to do the task required. There are others in your position are asked to contribute in such a way, or are being identified? The reason it is good to ask such questions, it is because you need to discover for yourself if you are pushed back out of pride or because they're really being hurt. So, your decisions will be based on logic rather than pure emotion that will leave you better equipped to handle the possible fall-out.2 - in your relationships. Very often people find themselves that they fulfill certain roles in their relationships. Whether it be as a son or daughter, wife or husband, or friend. And in those roles that meet people start to believe that things go in a certain way. The chefs wife or husband has the money, are common examples. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way about everything, and when they come up against the ideals, the conflict arises. Take, for example, do the housework. Men may think that cooking, washing dishes and clothes are the work of women. While women may feel that this work could be done if they both work. The real problem here is the pride (even if some cases it may be laziness, but that's another issue). Many men feel that these tasks is to emasculate. On the other hand, many women feel that it is man's work to keep everyone safe, to protect their wives and children from evil, and feel too much was asked if they are forced to enter that their role should man fail. Again, most of these problems down pride. Doing things that embarrass you, hurts your pride. Or being with someone who does not live up to your expectations, it works against your pride. The thing of pride is that it can have a huge impact on the way to see and hear about you. It can affect your behavior with others, what kinds of things you do for a living, how you dress, the way you talk to people. They are measuring yourself against everyone else, instead of looking inside and finding things you really do happen. Let me use an example. Remember that Todd Palin? Husband of Sarah, the woman running for Vice President of the United States? For several months it was virtually impossible to avoid hearing about the whole family. We learned that Mr. Palin was a house-husband. She cooked, cleaned and cared for the children when his wife was busy running the state of Alaska, and then for higher office. We also learned that raced snowmobiles and worked in the oil fields, is very manly efforts. But the thing that really stood out was this guy, this man, never, never came out as embarrassed about her household duties. And he was not afraid to shine his wife in public, or light. Above all, he seemed happy, strong and virile. In short, he put aside his pride for the good of his family. For your own happiness and those around him. Admirable qualities.4 - Interests and hobbies. Another way that pride may be found in the way of your happiness is the pursuit of your interests and hobbies. Things you do just because you like and makes you happy. For example, maybe you like to sing or play an instrument, but are too embarrassed to share the fun with others and then being left with limited opportunities to indulge. Or perhaps you prefer beer, but drinking wine to impress your friends. Or maybe you like making your own clothes, but he would never wear them in public for fear of being ridiculed, if not stack against the stuff in stores. The point here is that it may be possible that there are things you could do, but they are not, for no better reason to be proud. And pride, at least in these cases, it is something that could be put aside, if you will let the chance. 5 - Your Future. Everything happens on a timeline. You do not do something because you feel embarrassed, or have engaged in some duty or fear. Each of these little episodes back. More often succumb to pride, the bigger the load to carry, the more difficult it out of your traditional ways of doing things. You can help your child learn to believe in God

I believed in God since I was a child. My mother was very religious and had a strong Christian influence in all his children. Of course, as a child, the whole concept of an eternal Being who created me, loves me and cares for me it was difficult to understand. But she taught us the truths and principles of the Bible and lived in your life. She took us to church every week and we learned the importance of prayer and worship our Creator. We learned about Jesus and why He came to die for our sins. This made sense to me as a child and somehow I always knew I believed in God.I "so often heard people tell the story of an unforgettable experience that made them believe in God. I wish I could say something miraculous or dramatically impressionable happened in my life that let me know there was a God, but for me this was not the case. However, even then, I grew up knowing in my heart that God is real and without him my life was nothing. I can count many times when I prevent the danger, when he answered my prayers, when poured out blessings on me and my family. He has taught me a lot over the years about His grace and mercy, and continues to reveal more of himself to me every day. The more I learn about it, the more I am convinced that He is truly God. Through the lessons of nature, through reading His Word, through countless prayers answered and I know that one thing that has improved God.One my belief in God is the understanding of sin. Sin exists in our world, we can not deny it. We are all sinners and we sin nature by default, so we all need a Savior. The natural course of sin leads to death. Jesus demonstrated his love for us to come and die for our sins, so do not have to die an eternal death, but have everlasting life. God has impressed the importance of this to me on several occasions for saving me from many dangerous situations. Every time he has done what it reminded me once again of the importance of my life is and how He longs to save all his children that we but accept Him.God saved my life when I was three years and fell from the railing on our porch and was unconscious for three days. God saved my life at age 11 when he nearly drowns in a pool area. God saved my life when I was in my thirties, barely escaping what would have been serious if not fatal car accident. There were so many other times also knew it was God who saved my life, but I will not tell at this writing, but I give these examples for a reason. When I think about my belief in God often seems to focus on the fact that He is my Savior. Why do you always save? Maybe it's because that is what He was sent to do here, "to save. That's what your love has been done. When He saves us from accidents every day, he is showing how much He does not want to perish. He is letting us know that He wants us with him in God eternally.Belief only takes faith and faith is not just believing, but it is experience. You as a parent, can teach this to their children. As shown by example, they learn that God exists and that He cares for their young lives. Teach them to really believe in God, he must personally experience every day. Faith is "the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). God may be invisible to your child now and do not fully understand about the presence of God, but teach your child that God has always been with them. Give them a starting point for their faith in God. Give your child the opportunity to learn of Him who created them. Help to give God a chance.
