Well, this was a thing.
It was better than I expected in most ways. I didn't expect any fights so I'm not really letdown in that regard.Yang's talk with Raven was nice and I'm glad that talk getting to talk with her mother didn't magically make her issues go away. Shocked Cinder didn't show up.
The WF and Adam stuff is okay on paper but it also seemed really cheesy... though I suppose that's the point.
Em/Merc and Hazel getting away wasn't shocking but that Salem illusion was creepy as hell.Em crying was a nice touch.
RWBY reunion was about what I expected. Brief enough to get the point across but no detailed talks.
That cliffhanger kinda bugged me because it feels a lot shorter than the others. Definitely not as interesting in my opinion as well.
I don't think the finale was really all that bad as a standalone episode but as a cumulation of the volume, it's disappointing. I don't feel like the protags really earned this win... more like things just happened to go their way.
Eh. 7.5/10 could have been worse.
Also am I the only one kinda bummed Carl didn’t die? He’s not as annoying as he used to be but it woulda been a ballsy move and one I for once couldn’t see coming - they only have 4 people of the original cast left - and for a moment there I thought he was dead and I was actually kind of excited for the show again? But then when he made it into the infirmary I knew, and the final scene I was just rolling my eyes to hell because the hand squeeze was coming from the moment the scene started and it was so predictable in that way that just ... hurts. :/
Ah well, at least Jessie and her useless kids bit it, 3 pointless Alexandrians down, still loads to go. Guess it’s good they still have some zombie fodder.

Okay, so, thank GOODNESS that it looks like the traitor was a red herring, because if Mulan had been the double-agent and left the whole white crew as the good guys, I would have facepalmed hard. She's currently carrying the racial diversity on the team (because for some reason Deathlok is STILL running around on the bad guys' side) and if she was gone, it would have been FURY-MAKING. And not Nick Fury.
That was a pretty decent finale there, Grey's.
But of course, the only people who would have actually enjoyed it would have been those like me who haven't watched since season three and don't know/don't really care about half the characters.
But ah well, it's not like TV is about trying to please your audience or anything.
