Okay so...

Whoever had that post regarding Yoshimura having tech skills at the age of 75+ and the sapotama having digimon preprogramed into it potentially meaning it was a digimon aid device first I NEED you guys to look here cause I came across something I didn't notice before until I saw it in a tweet from a korean viewer.

It's to do with Yoshimura.

So what the person has point out is that Yoshimura looks EXTREMELY similar to this guy who looks to be the head egg man

Same nose, same hair style, same beard style. It's almost TOO identical in design to be a coincidence especially when you actually look close enough.

The only difference here is that Yoshi wears those glasses, but what IF it's because his eyes are identical to this guy in the chair.

Because what if they're brothers, what if they're TWIN brothers.

What if they both worked on the technology that created the sapotamas and digital world but had a massive falling out related to its useage and now the technology is being used to push what was once a broken society towards an "idealized future"

Whatever this idealized future might be that is...

Digimon Beatbreak Episode 27 Review - Too Much Love

From what I’ve learned throughout the week is that there seems to be a lot of Hitomi glazers online. A lot of people want her to have a Digimon—heck, someone even wanted her to have Amaterasumon (and Medusamon because they think Haruomi and Elizamon are too much of filler characters to have such a famous Digimon). However, I was someone who was never on the Hitomi hype train because I knew she was never going to get one because we’ve never seen her e-pulse color, isn’t emotional enough to get her Sapotama hatched, doesn’t seem to be too keen on losing out on her livelihood as owning a Digimon is mostly considered a crime and those who own them are considered outcasts, and she can’t join Glowing Dawn because she doesn’t have a time of day reference in her name. However, if they really wanted Hitomi to get a Digimon, the only answer I’d accept is her befriending the Punimon that was once Hyemon Pierced. Other than that, Hitomi won’t get ever get one. She mostly represents the ordinary life—the life without Digimon.

On top of that, Digimon itself is terrible with romances as you saw in this episode where they teased a possible ship with Hitomi and Tomoro, but bailed out. Worst of all, Hitomi doesn’t get mentioned again after the first three minutes of the episode. The writers definitely did NOT want this to manifest and is only using it for gags. Imagine being used for romance and then never getting mentioned for the rest of the episode…that’s how insignificant the story thinks you are…damn…

Aside from the Hitomi stuff, this is the funniest episode by far. You know the comedy amps up tenfold when Kyo joins in on the shenanigans this time around. After the last two episodes being a bit serious in tone, it was nice to finally have something hilarious to lighten up the mood as the next arc is stated to be even darker than Tactics. It’s just the calm before the storm…

Anyways, the Digimon featured in this episode is Mummymon who gets another job added to his resume. I feel like Mummymon is the Digimon equivalent of that one girl from that one Disney channel show who changes jobs every episode. Mummymon is a charlatan fortune teller who used Hitomi as a means to drain her e-pulse, but decided to change targets to Tomoro and the rest of Glowing Dawn when his bandage decides to wrap itself around Tomoro, causing his behavior to change and later the rest. Mummymon was once a stray Ghostmon who was abandoned by his owner because she wanted to start a new life with her boyfriend. Given that Digimon are technically considered a secret and those who owned them are branded outcasts, the owner definitely was trying to pull a tactic similar to Sunny Yamada where she wants to start anew without her Digimon. The only difference is that Ghostmon’s owner did it because she loved her boyfriend, causing Mummymon to develop a skewed perception of love.

All the humans of Glowing Dawn show off an exaggerated, twisted version of themselves when it comes to their affection for their Digimon. For Tomoro, he insists on feeding Gekkomon various egg dishes like hard-boiled and fried when he’s usually not keen on letting Gekkomon eat too much—the eggs are a callback to Episode 7 where Tomoro messed up on cooking eggs. Reina’s twisted love is splurging on funds when she’s the penny-pincher of the group. She buys Pristimon an expensive tea cup when she was hesitant on it before and then later buys a ton of girly clothes without caring about the costs. Makoto’s twisted love is like a borderline yandere where he wants to smother Chiropmon and wants him to be violent towards him. Makoto is the gentlest and the pacifist of the group, so it would be odd for him to want to start fights with Chiropmon. Kyo’s twisted love towards Cougarmon was the funniest with him making 19 felt dolls made out of Cougarmon’s fur and has a tendency to sniff him. It does make me wonder if Kyo has some attachment issues because of this…

Anyways, poor Cougarmon. He gets the worst of the affection as Kyo is terrifying when being too affectionate. Those felt dolls look more like voodoo dolls—it also seems that arts and crafts aren’t Kyo’s forte. Cougarmon keeps getting disgusted reactions and also had to be carried by Gekkomon’s tongue to avoid Kyo and the others. I can see why his voice actor Hamano hyped up the episode. It’s been a while since we got a Digimon-focused episode.

Mummymon is voiced by Takumi Yamazaki who voiced Asuramon’s Face of Mercy in Ghost Game and Katsuji in Hunters. Outside of Digimon, he voiced Dera Mochimazzi from Tamako Market, Tanjiro’s crow in Demon Slayer and Emperor Peony in Tales of the Abyss. His rookie form Ghostmon is voiced by Erina Goto who voiced a few Digimon in Ghost Game.

Next episode starts the GIFT arc. However, it does seem like Toei is taking a different approach to this arc as opposed to how they did with Tactics. Instead of dropping a trailer and a ton of character profiles, they only released the profile of the mysterious green-eyed girl who is on the key visual and ending named Miharu Kagemori, but all her information is blurred out. Just what is the GIFT arc going to be about? Let me know your thoughts!
