This is Lady when Dede walks out of Fae’s room for the first time
Dede on Valentines Day: hey i got you some chocolates, here you go! ^v^ I hope you enjoy!
Fae, who gets food offerings on the regular but doesn’t know what Valentine’s day is: why are you giving me this? you don’t need to give me offerings. also i kinda hate chocolates like these, but i guess you tried.
Dede: :0 It’s Valentine’s Day! That’s why I got them.
Fae: What...
Dede: I got you those because I love you, but I didn’t know you didn’t like chocolate! So I’ll go get you something else nicer instead ^v^
Fae: .... ok.
havent posted these anywhere else yet, but here’s some character concepts. Hex and his crew technically belong to the Project Strife story, but they cross over with Faerie Dust enough to where I think I can justify posting them here. Also I just feel like it so there.
All of them - Dede included - were turned into living mannequins/”dolls” by The Seamstress, a monster who strififies other people as a way to cope with her own Strife. None of them technically have facial features or mouths, but Hex has broken his face open a couple times (producing “nearly perfect” jaws) and most of them project mild forms of “magic” that gives them facial features. Dede is the only one who projects enough to have both eyes (in FULL/actually open), both brows, and a mouth.

What do you want from me? Why don’t you run from me? What are you wondering? What do you know?
“Why aren’t you scared of me? “Why do you care for me? “When we all fall asleep, “Where do we go?”
Fae is gray-ace and aromantic. He doesn’t find people sexually attractive or feel himself compelled to have sex with people based on their appearance, and he does not really feel romantic attraction to anyone.
Fae’s ace-ness affects how he sees and interacts with people (regarding sex) more than anything. He doesn’t seek people out for sex, and he doesn’t decide on who to sleep with based on appearance. Part of him doesn’t really get it- get how people’s appearances has anything to do with pleasure, or how people can be so enthralled by his own appearance to a point of feeling “interested” in him. Instead, he just finds sex a tool of the trade and a fun, pleasurable pass-time.
He’s sex-positive, meaning he enjoys the act and does occasionally seek people out for it - but he rarely does this because someone “gives him the hots” or whatever. Most of the time it’s with people he trusts (friends) or with people he knows are interested in him because, well, why not? They’re interested, he’s willing- might as well, right? On top of that, he can use sex and pleasure to his advantage. People kinda let their guard down around you after a couple rounds in the sheets, so what better way to get information or wear an enemy out long enough to kill them when they least suspect it?
He’s very blunt about it, too. Forward, almost tactical, but still flirty and playful when he wants to be. He loves teasing people even if they find him frustrating because of it, and watching people falter because they “didn’t think he’d be interested” is hilarious.
As for romance, eh is all he really has to say about it. Not interested, almost disgusted by it - the thought of being so close to someone to where they could get hurt or hurt themselves for him really puts him off on the whole couples thing. On top of that, he just... doesn’t understand those feelings. At all.
He can logically grasp them, sure. He knows how to walk the walk, talk the talk. He’s tried several relationships, too, but they all ended the same way: he wasn’t doing enough, wasn’t “emoting” enough, was too “stiff” or “unresponsive.” It’s just not his cup of tea and he’d rather not lose another close friend over his lack of ability to understand romance.
Not to say he’s an emotionless person, though. Fae feels pretty deeply sometimes, but it’s almost always platonic. Friendship. He cries for friends, he comforts friends, he holds and fucks friends... but anything deeper than that confuses him. He doesn’t even know what counts as deeper than that, because, to him? He’s already ride or die for his friends. What more could they possibly want?

His relationship with Dede is complicated, but for a lot of reasons. Dede’s still not over his past boyfriend and is very open about that. Dede’s also a bit more needy than Fae can stand, but he doesn’t mind the guy being around for both emotional support and pleasure, because they hit it off pretty well. Fae’s asked Dede what he expected their little rendezvous to be, then very bluntly told him he wasn’t in love with him nor could he provide that kind of love for him if he sought it. It was an awkward conversation, but both have agreed that they don’t mind being each other’s support so long as they know where they stand. Dede seeks Fae for comfort and closeness in a world that would otherwise ostracize him, and Fae keeps Dede around because Dede’s the only one who actually listens to him and understands him.
It’s a mutual relationship, at the very least, and fulfills needs both of them have. It’s close, too, even if the closeness is different for each of them. They make it work and that’s all that really matters.

Fae prefers to keep his hook ups out of any sort of personal setting if at all possible. Hotel rooms included. He doesn’t like the idea of being so intimately alone with someone and would much rather take people behind an alley or out in the off-limits caverns where no one can see. He also doesn’t like positions where he’s laying down - whether on top or on his back. Upright, pinned against a wall, rough and messy is how he likes it and that’s all you’re gonna get from him. Fae almost died in a hotel once while caught with his pants down; he doesn’t like reliving that scenario if at all possible.
Clothes stay on. Yours can come off though if you want. It’s not his problem if you’re caught nude and indecent while he’s already bailed on you after getting his fix.
This applies to everyone, even regulars, unless you’re Dede. But that’s just because Dede gets scared when out in public places. They’ve had plenty of alley-way romps and cavern secrets for Fae to trust him enough not to do some fuckshit in the restrictions of a private room. Still won’t take Dede back to his penthouse, though.
