Growth Journey 💗
Today was wash day 🥰😬😩😋
Officially starting my hair journey over.
My last trim was July 11th 2020. I had bright red hair at the time. So it’s been about 13 weeks. I’m getting a trim today. I’m excited because although I’ve grown my hair past BSL I’ve never grown it to its full potential. I always chose length over health. In these pics I had just did my hair and added clip ins.
But here’s a few things I’m going to do to grow my hair out and keep it healthy.
1. Weekly hot oil treatments 🧖♀️
2. Weekly Deep Conditioning
3. Scalp massages 💆
4. Regular trims every 12-13 weeks
5. Protective Styling
6. Continue taking pre-natal vitamins
I’m not going to go nuts, I’m just going to stay consistent and see where that takes me. I’ll update here once a week😊
If you want these clip ins I got them from Lovriohair.com
Use my code: “HAZE” for 15% off ...(thank me later) Mine are in 20” yaki straight.
After washing my hair, dry, comb out lightly dry and apply a good amount trough hair.
Deep Conditioning Cap - Natural Hair Conditioner - Thermal Heating Cap - Flaxseed Filled - POSH Reversible Hot Head
What is Hot Head? Hot Head is a unique microwavable heat cap created by a professional hair stylist. It offers an easy and stylish way to achieve the results of a salon quality deep conditioning treatment at home. Why do I need it? It's important to perform regular deep conditioning treatments for optimum hair health. However, without heat, your deep conditioning treatment can only do so much to improve the quality of your hair. This is because the hair cuticle is typically closed, so the conditioning treatment is only able to work on the surface of the hair shaft. The results are minimal and superficial when compared to heat enhanced deep conditioning treatments. When heat is introduced during a treatment the hair cuticle will open for an extended period of time allowing the deep conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft and really work to nourish your hair from the inside out. How does it work? The Hot Head heat cap is filled with renewable flax seed which will generate heat when warmed in the microwave. It's reusable and is the most environmentally friendly way to deep condition your hair with heat at home. There is no need to plug it into an outlet or use batteries to power the heat. With a few minutes in the microwave, Hot Head will produce up to 30-45 minutes of gentle moist heat (microwaves vary). The fact that there are no cords and no plugs means that you are free to move about while deep conditioning your hair. Hot Head is available in multiple styles and is also reversible so that your look can fit your mood. When using Hot Head you can feel good about the way you look while conditioning your hair, and dramatically improve the results of your hair treatment.
10 Minute Deep Conditioning
i’ve been using a bonnet drying cap to deep condition and i really love it so much!!! indirect heat is really helpful for product absorption. this is super beneficial to people with low porosity hair
so i plastic wrap my head tightly (like 10 layers lol i like insulation!!!) and put my bonnet drying cap on top. i only use cool air from my hair dryer and do cold shots every few minutes to really control the temperature. if you want to buy the bonnet attachment make sure it has adjustable straps on it like this:
i use texture id deep treatment masque if anyones wondering. 10 mins and it’s fully absorbed into my hair
