Soul recognition is rare, but when you find it, it feels like coming home to yourself. It is a mutual meeting of souls. A place you will always feel welcome and safe. A shared inner feeling and knowing of deep comfort. A place you are both respected, celebrated and supported to be yourself. Soul connection simply feels like home. If you find it, you will know. I read a lot of fanfictions. I could do it all day; I never feel more than when I read, never feel as much and as strong than when I read. There’s sentences written by people I don’t know that have touched me deeply. Paragraphs saved on my phone so I never forget them.

I love it, but I also kind of hate it.

I almost always read about ships. I read about romantic love and yearning and domesticity and making love- and I want all of that.

In the most platonic sense, I want someone like that. Someone I can go into town with, just to eat with and to spend the afternoon with. Someone that can hug me when I’m down, someone I can tell I’m afraid of the dark and of never being enough. I want someone who feel comfortable enough to tell me what they fear and what they love.

I want to learn the little things about them. I want them to learn the little things about me too, how I can never cry for myself and the smell of their laundry. I want someone I can tell my deepest secrets, want someone who can understand when I don’t want to talk to anyone and how not talking doesn’t mean I love them any less. I want someone who knows my I love you’s are never romantic.

I want all of that, but I don’t know how to get it. Or if I’m deserving of it. Everything always ends; if I can have that, it’ll end and I’ll be sad and it´ll start all over again. I want it so bad it makes me want to cry sometimes (not that I can. But I want to anyway.)

What do you really think happened between Zayn and Louis? It can’t be just about him leaving the band. I know some people speculate Zayn was supposed to have BG but once he left it got put on Louis. Thoughts?

It feels like something that affected Louis personally, and had long-lasting consequences.

Here are Louis and Zayn at Heathrow, after coming home from Australia. This was 3 March 2015, 20 days before Zayn left. The Zouis friendship was always a special one, and they seem close here.

So whatever happened, the consequences didn’t set in until later. Also, the rumor that Zayn was set to leave the band months earlier did not result in much bitterness as of 20 days before he actually left.

My guess is that Zayn’s leaving changed something contractually for Louis, so that the consequences are still ongoing.

When Niall saw Zayn at the AMAs in November 2016, he approached Zayn for a handshake. It feels to me like Zayn and Louis’ situation does not extend to the whole band.

I don’t think the bad blood is related to the whole staged feud with Naughty Boy in 2015, although the aggression in that exchange might have indicated the general soured feelings.

In light of Louis’ words, I’m thinking about Zayn’s songs, especially Good Years, and about this tweet.

I’m not sure what the details are, but there is a lot of anger.
