oh I had a fucking nightmare this morning

I was in highschool and it was a foreign language course

and the language was supposed to be a creole language of English and Spanish but it had its own alphabet and all the letters made sounds that don't exist in either language

the teacher only went over the alphabet and the sounds the letters made once

and then we were supposed to open our textbooks and independently read a story about Jesus to learn the language

and it ended with me having a meltdown like "you haven't taught us anything about the grammar or any vocabulary and there's no way we can make sense of anything we read"

and the teacher yelling back "I don't have to teach you any of that I just have to teach you the alphabet" and then I woke up

and uhh... as some might ascertain, school was a traumatic experience for me

I just need to complain a bit.

Now that I'm back in the marvel fandom I've been reading through some of my old fav bookmarked stories.

There was one that was just pure smut, like the E-ist of E you could get. And it was tagged as such.

I never really read other peoples comments but I decided to.

I figured other people liked it for the same reason as me but OMG, it was like every other comment was a criticism.

"Steve was too mean." "Umm, isn't this rape?" "Why are they acting like this?"

SHE TAGGED IT! I'm a big believer in don't like don't read. There was a trek fic I was following for a while (and commented on) but when it turned from angst to torture I noped out.

I'll give her credit tho. She still has the story up 10 years later. I just feel bad for her.
