[Feminism China] op-ed The development of Chinese feminism and its place in the Chinese psyche There is a creeping shadow in the collective unconscious of the Chinese populace. Notions of patriarchy and misogyny, so ingrained in the institutions and psyche of China, that despite years of revolutions and turmoil, still persist. So might an astute feminist declare in view of the current state of Chinese womanhood. However, the issue at hand does require a degree of scrutiny.
