Dude, there were a lot of bugs. I mean it was great.
But there was an incomprehensible amount of biting insects.

I really wish if bug smelled another dead bug of their species on you they wouldn’t land on you. Like yeah ms. Mosquito you see what happened to the last one that tried?? Move along then!!
If it wasn’t already a pain dealing with the heat (currently 97F with heat index 106F), the deer flies are swarming!
Imagine those clouds of bees flying around the head of a cartoon character. Then imagine they bite instead of sting, and their bites are actually little cuts they make with their mandibles to suck blood out of. And they love motion, so unless you are going outside to stay perfectly still there is no avoiding them.** Fun.
I REALLY hate deer flies!
**As a kid we would sit in the car a couple minutes after driving to let them die down, because they would swarm around the car. They sure didn’t get much blood from it!
