Javelinas at my old feeder. Hunting is awesome but many ranches round abouts have killed off their javelinas because they eat under the deer feeders and scare the deer. People are surprised that I have any around. So for me its 'how to keep the pesky deer from eating my javelina food!' Javelinas tend to have 2 "reds" or a set of twins. See one in the pic.

Got some more deer season prep done today. Got an @appletreefeeder put up and loaded on the property, and got a small plot prepped for some @whitetailgreens going in in a couple days. I prefer to plant some of these smaller plots a little later than most people, but that fresh green will be coming in right when season opens and will grow all fall and keep the deer in there. With these new additions there will be some deer hitting the ground. I want to brag a bit about my sweet little lady. While I was out moving the feeder and blind from another hunting area to this one. She was raking and cutting a pathway from the dirt road to the blind. There are sooo many twigs, dead grasses, thorns etc... Makes walking out there impossible to be quiet. But she made it possible with a really NICE pathway. Spent quite a bit of time raking and clearing debris away. Even tied florescent ribbons so I can follow it in when dark out. And let me tell ya... if there’s not a moon or a clear night for stars. You see nothing!! So now I break out the red flash light and follow the markers in... Shoot, she even helped me cut out the thorn bushes on the main road. Them suckers will give you a flat in no time!! She also helped me clear trees, build a barrier behind the blind so the pigs won’t run through it. The list just keeps going...
