So much yes to the tag etiquette rant. While I don't follow Supergirl, I can relate on a Steve Rogers/Peggy Carter level. There are more non-Steggy than Steggy centric fics in their romantic tag. THEIR GODDAMN TAG IS FILLED WITH Steve/Bucky, Steve/Sam, Steve/Tony tags & it drives me mad. If I'm in the Steve/Peggy tag I don't expect to have to scroll through pages to find a handful of relevant fics. I expect to be able to enjoy reading every fic in the tag because my OTP is at their centre.

Oh yes, it’s not a new thing to the SG fandom. It’s happened in every fandom I’ve been in, period. It’s really rude. I understand they want more people to read their things (who doesn’t want more people reading their things?) but as a fan it just frustrates me - particularly because I always seem to find the smallest ships to paddle along on.

It’s dreadful getting your hopes up becase oo, so cool, a new fic was added! Only, nope, not only is it not your ship, it’s that ship you tend to avoid because it just doesn’t work for you for whatever reasons.
