I'm continuing to watch the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp case and I simply can't see her as a victim. She looks so arrogant while in court that I can't believe she was a victim. And she said repeatedly that she didn't want to be in court but it was her who wrote that article so she should have imagined that depp would have sued her. I don't know how this trial will go but I don't believe depp abused her.

Did Amber Heard edit her photo evidence?

Multiple photos of Amber Heard entered into evidence, and at least a few were speculated to have been edited.

This was brought up in the trial, Depp's lawyers asking AH if she had edited any of her photos to make her alleged injuries appear worse. AH denied these claims, though expert witness testimony claimed that the photos had indeed been stored and saved in an editing program.

Here is one such photo brought into evidence:

Depp's team alleged these are the same photo, and accused AH of having edited the photo on the right to produce the photo on the left.

AH testified that these are two separate photos. She claimed the one on the left was taken in natural light, while the one on the left was taken afterwards, after having turned on a vanity light.

There is compelling evidence to Depp's claims that this photo was edited. As Camille Vasquez stated, it's very unlikely that AH would have been able to take one photo, reach over to turn on the vanity light, and then manage to not only line up a second photo the exact same way, but also manage to keep every wisp of hair in the exact same place it had laid in the first photo.

For educational purposes, below is a gif of what steps one might take to the photo on the right to achieve a similar result of that on the left. A reduction of brightness/contrast, an increase in hue/saturation, and possibly a warming filter.

However, others have achieved similar results by simply only increasing the saturation of the photo.

Here's another photo also alleged to be edited. Again, you will notice that in both photos each hair is in the exact same place. As the photo above, below is another gif of what steps one might take to the photo on the right to achieve a similar result of that on the left.

So, were these photos edited? And were they edited by Amber Heard?

Verdict: In the case of the above photos, yes, they were edited. The two images are not similar yet separate photos, but the same image where one was edited. The fact that these photos were edited also means it is plausible that other photos may have been as well. As for whether Amber Heard actually did the editing herself, it's highly plausible, but unconfirmed at this time.

i told someone in my family about the ah vs jd trial. like a summation and what happened and who won and stuff ('cause they're kinda old; don't use the internet so didn't know) and their first answer was "SHE beat HIM up? and what was he, stupid? why did he let it happen?"

the only proof you need that more conversations need to happen around male dv and if you're abused you're not "weak" and you don't need to "man up". it's got nothing to do with gender. it's about power imbalance. it's about psychological harm. it's about manipulation. if your loyalties are still bound to gender, that women can just NOT be a bad person, you need to revaluate your moral stands, point blank period. anyone can be in a abused relationship and the fact that we gotta reiterate that in fucking 2022 is really disgusting. feminism has never been about "women are god uwu" it's always been about equality and this discussion is just an appendage of that

It's pretty much everywhere right now, but if you haven't Heard (pun intended), the jury released a verdict on the Depp Heard lawsuits.

Johnny Depp wins defamation case, ex-wife Amber Heard wins one point in countersuit

Trial with frequent moments of high drama lasted six weeks.

I'm sharing this particular article because it's the only one I've found thus far that doesn't make it sound like both won. Johnny Depp won on all three points in his suit, that Amber's op-ed was a defamatory lie that was clearly written about Johnny Depp with malicious intent.

Amber only won on one point of three, on a statement made by Depp's attorney. Really, the particular statement deemed false was just pushing a bit too hard.

This is NOT a win for Amber Heard.

It IS a win for equal rights for women and men.

It IS a win for victims of domestic abuse, especially men.

I'm still going to watch the rest of the trial, even though we know the outcome now. Let me know if you would like me to continue posting my thoughts.
