Wrapping up her 6th year of dance with a 1st place win her first year on the comp team and a huge growth spurt in her tap technique. Another night spent with family cheering her on. We are so proud of her commitment this year and looking forward to what the new season will bring.

I’m definitely not a “meta writer”, but I want to participate and help to keep the Delena tag on tumblr alive and beautiful. Please forgive me if my entries are not very elaborate or creative... I’ve got a new job recently and I don’t have much time to edit pictures etc, so I’ll just write down something for each category.

July 5: Three Delena-related Quotes (pt. 2)

I had already posted this quote (found on pinterest) 3 years ago because I found that it fit perfectly Damon & Elena’s relationship {original post HERE} FIGHTS... they’ve had some but even their fights are iconic. JEALOUSY... like when Elena was jealous of Rebekah, priceless! ARGUMENTS... makes me think more of their banters, tbh. FAITH... Elena’s sleeping curse was probably the biggest hardship they had to face, and you can’t go through that without big faith in your relationship. TEARS... there’s certainly no lack of tears in Delena’s love story. DISAGREEMENTS... it’s only natural to have diverging opinions sometimes.

... but a REAL relationship fights through all that with LOVE

I love how 3 years later it’s still so fitting and TRUE... because what they have might be messy and complicated, but it’s REAL.

Delena Forever Ours - July 2: Two Meetings (pt. 1)

This post is for the “Delena Forever Ours” Meta Month

I’m definitely not a “meta writer”, but I want to participate and help to keep the Delena tag on tumblr alive and beautiful. Please forgive me if my entries are not very elaborate or creative... I’ve got a new job recently and I don’t have much time to edit pictures etc, so I’ll just write down something for each category.

July 2: Two Meetings (pt. 1)

Elena: “Maybe if you and I had met first...” Damon: “Yeah, maybe.”

Oh, how many hearts were broken that night? May 10th, 2012. I remember it like yesterday... it was my first season finale live-watch with the fandom that I had joined a few months earlier. I stayed up ranting on Twitter until 7am. LoL

I felt played, I felt used. That precious flashback to Elena and Damon’s first meeting left a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I remember that tears started to stream down my face as soon as the scene started playing and I realized that YES, they had indeed met first. It’s one of my favorite Delena scenes now, but back then it somehow felt a little cruel, you know? The fact that Damon KNEW they had met first but she couldn’t remember because he had compelled her to forget, and he was being left to die alone, at the hand of his former best friend. It was too much to take for me!

But this first meeting holds so much meaning for Damon & Elena. I LOVE how it later ended up playing an important part in their love story. It did when a newly-turned Elena recovered the memories she had been compelled to forget. It did when Damon’s mind was under Sybil’s control. It did every time there was a reference to an all consuming love. To passion. To adventure. To that little bit of danger. To Elena getting everything she’s ever wanted from life. THIS is the impact of this meeting. I’m in awe.

A Letter to my #DEfamily ♥

Hi guys! I know I’ve been MIA for over half a year now and I feel like I’ve failed all of you, and like I’ve failed #Delena. The thing is... I tried, but I just couldn’t talk myself into re-joining the social-media life for a long while.

It all started with a much needed summer break from the constant Twitter fan drama, like the one I took in 2015 too. Originally I had plans to come back in late September, but then I got an offer for a temporary job - that I desperately needed - which however forced me to practically live out of town Monday to Friday without any decent internet connection (except for my not always reliable 3G). So I decided that it was just better to give up social media for a while and focus on the job, and to spend the weekends at home seeing friends or just relaxing.

Since my job ended around mid December, I then said to myself that I could finally reconnect to Twitter and #DEfamily during the holidays... but I just kept putting it off for some reason. The reason being, while I longed to reunite with #DEfamily, I also dreaded the idea of being sucked back into the fandom drama.

It was the main reason why I ever ended up needing the summer breaks, in the first place. And after having had to keep away from Twitter for a much longer time than I had expected to, I eventually realized that the endless drama had started to take a toll on my health - both physical and psychological. I love #Delena so deeply, with such passion and emotion, that having to face the fandom drama every single day (not to mention the idiotic wars with Bamorons, good lord...) was making me cranky. I was always nervous, in a bad mood, having trouble sleeping and often having Twitter-related nightmares, on top of it. Wanna talk about the nightmares where I had godawful fights with a certain actor who tuned against #Delena after supporting it for what, 4/5 years? (fakefakefake) Yeah, and those were the worst, because I always woke up literally trembling with anger. Heck, if I had had someone sleeping with me, I’m quite sure they would’ve heard me yelling in my sleep. So I didn’t get enough sleep, and the little sleep I managed to get was basically useless since I couldn’t actually rest. You get the picture, the situation was just NOT GOOD for my health. Hence the summer break, which then turned into a longer break because of work... which in the end turned out to be good for me because it clearly allowed me to de-stress and to put some much needed distance between myself and the fandom drama. And that’s why I just couldn’t bring myself to open Twitter during holidays, or after, like I had planned at first. All I could think of (or feared?) was getting sucked back into the drama and going back to feeling cranky and sleeping badly when I had finally regained some balance and some peace of mind. I hope you can understand my reasons for staying away so long, and I hope you can forgive me for practically “abandoning ship”, at least when it comes to my online presence and my being an active shipper. My love for #Delena is as strong as ever, but I had to put first some love for myself, this time.

I also didn’t find out about S8 being the last season (finally) until the Xmas holidays. Since I couldn’t be on Twitter I decided that it was best NOT to keep track of TrashVD news, in order to avoid ANY potential reason to be nervous or angry. After finding out the good news, I proceeded to read the summaries of the episodes, to at least have an idea of what preposterous stuff JP & co were coming up with for the final season. I’m never ever watching this sh*t, that’s all I’ve got to say. LoL

So now it’s happening. March 10, 2017 marks the end of an era. (FunFact: it also marks "Buffy the Vampire Slayer”’s 20th birthday, which is the reason for my celebratory icon) A day I’ve (we’ve?) been waiting for since April 6, 2015... which is the day TrashVD ended FOR ME. And for many others. I’m sorry I haven’t been by your side for these past months of our fight for #Delena. There hasn’t been a single day I haven’t thought of you, or wondered what amazing Twitter project you were doing (hello Jas), what beautiful trends you were having (hey Bella)... oh, giving up trending was definitely the hardest part. But it had to be done, for my own good. I was in too deep, caring too much and hurting too much. I had to take a few steps back and regain control on my emotions and my life.

Now I’m debating on whether to log back in and wait for the series finale with you guys... maybe even try a live watch & live tweet after almost 2 years since the last time I did it. I don’t know, I’m tempted but I’m also scared. Mostly scared that you don’t want me back, and I guess I couldn’t entirely blame you after being gone so long. But also scared that JP’s gonna let us down again. I don’t know, I always expect the worst from that woman and I’m not really relieved by the fact that KW co-wrote the episode... also the fact that they showed the #DelenaReunion hug in the promo is giving me some sort of anxiety. Are they just desperately trying to woo as many viewers as they can for the big(?) finale or should I expect some evil twist that ends up separating them (and screwing us over), AGAIN? LoL

This is what has been on my mind in the past two weeks and once again I decided NOT to log in to Twitter because I know by experience that my now mild anxiety would’ve grown exponentially reading about other people’s thoughts, fears and tweets. I know because it happened all the time! LoL

#DelenaQuestions pt.III Twitter project by DE_FTW Answers to questions 7, 8, 9, 10.

7) What is your favorite Delena story-arc and why?

Basically everything that happened from S1 to S4 included. When they got together I feared that they might not know how to treat them right as an actual couple, and time sadly proved me right. They’ve been great with writing the tension and build-up but they screwed almost everything that came after that. I’ve read fanfictions that are 1,000 times better than what they delivered in S5 and S6.

8) In your opinion, what was the most shocking Delena scene on TVD?

“I’m mad at you because I love you” “Well maybe that’s the problem” It shocked me because IMO it was totally mean and uncalled for.

9) Are you team Human!Delena or Vampire!Delena and why?

VAMPIRE DELENA. Because that’s how it was supposed to be. I’ve hated the lousy human-arc in S4 and I’ve hated it even more when they brought it back up in S6.  They were supposed to have Forever, not this marry-me-and-have-my-kids stelenish crap. She had grown to LOVE being a vampire, it doesn’t make any sense that all of a sudden she longed to be human again. And why? Because PlotDevice!Jo got pregnant??? COME. ON. You can tell from miles away that they put together all the S6 BS with the only goal to get rid of Elena, so they felt entitled to not give a flying crap of everything that happened before and just turned the tables to fit their plan to go on making money without the main character. I can only hope it’ll bite them in their greedy asses so hard that they’ll never forget what a bunch of morons they are.

10) Explain why you ship Delena.

Can you explain why you breath? I thought so.

I realize these last few answers sound snappy and bitter, but that’s how I feel. They literally flushed the Delena journey down the toilet and I knew they did it when they erased her memories in 6x02. I told you so back then, too, but people brushed me off and called me crazy wondering how I could fail to see the greatness of the story because she would fall in love with Damon all over again and it was gonna be epic blah blah.

Well DUH! I don’t want to say that I told you so, but I F*CKING. TOLD. YOU. SO. It’s like somehow deep inside I could sense this coming. They’ve ruined everything to the point of no return, and I will never forgive them. They can’t undo this mess now. Thank fuck, Julie Plague. I hope you choke on your greediness.

#DelenaQuestions pt. II project by DE_FTW Answers to questions 4, 5, 6.

4) What is your favorite Delena music moment and why? Never Let Me Go. Hands down. I don’t think any other music moment could ever top that. The way the music and the song roared to life the moment she ran to Damon was pure perfection. I think it mirrored Elena’s emotions and turmoil perfectly...how the music started out slow, almost inaudible, and then grew until it literally exploded when she crashed her lips on his. It’s a mix of passion and emotions and my heart swells with how perfect it was. Whenever I listen to that song it still makes me shiver. It is and it will always be THE Delena song to me, with Kiss Me trailing right behind.

5) Explain what your ideal Delena ending is after Elena wakes up and where you see them in the future.

Honestly, I have no freaking idea. To me they’ve ruined everything that has been built in the past 6 seasons. Elena is human and she can never be a vampire anymore and it shouldn’t have happened. Ever. I feel like their journey has been flushed down the toilet with a hurried bunch of false promises of forever and happiness thrown out during the last episodes, with the clear intent to soften the blow of Elena’s “coma”, not to mention that they totally destroyed Elena’s growth because they needed to write her off and go on with S7 and make more money. My ideal Delena ending is Damon and Elena driving together into the Grill and blowing it up. The End. No prison-world BS after that - just picture the Grill going up in flames in 5x22 and imagine the episode (and series) had ended there. I would take THAT over any crap they’re gonna give us in the end, because no matter what they’ll come up with, that’s NOT Delena. Sorry.

6) What are 3 Delena head-canons you would like or like to have seen on TVD?

Mutual blood-sharing, maybe with a bit of sexy time. An actual date, complete with throwing pop-corn at the hipsters. Mistletoe kiss, anyone?
