   “Amethyst...? We’ve tried a lot of human foods, but have you ever tried things from a candy store? Greg told me that Beach City finally got one and I think what we need to do... Is try whatever it is they have!!!” They’ve tried candy before, various types, but Greg had emphasized the fact that candy stores tended to have even more of them! And with so many variants of type, that Rose had been set on visiting the new establishment as soon as she could.

   However, with Greg at work today, she couldn’t possibly go alone! So why not ask Amethyst, a fellow human lover, to come along with?

        ❛  i won’t.  you can’t tell me what to do.  ❜  a bit stern, rainbow changes up her disposition to try and attend at the situation at hand.  kneeling down, the gem tilts her head to the side to try and attempt to find out what’s wrong.

❝ You’re not a screw up Amethyst....you’re the best thing to ever happen to me. ❞  She choked, gripping tightly onto the others shirt.  ❝ I don’t deserve to have better when I already have the best! ❞ now she was angry, there was no way she would let Amethyst die. 

❝ Theres gotta be something I can do... you idiot, I’m not letting you die! If you really loved me you wouldn’t give up like this! If you die on me I swear...I wont be able to... ❞ She covered her mouth as she sobbed, it was getting harder to breathe since the panic was hitting her hard.

   ❝  Amethyst listen to me, you’re not leaving me. Amethyst…AMETHYST.  ❞

She grabbed the other, placing her head on her chest. No, this wasn’t the end, she wouldn’t let it be. Pearl didn’t even attempt to keep the tears from flowing, she just grabbed Amethyst hard and kissed her. Her fingers pushed hair out of the way of her face, frowning as she looked down at her. 

  ❝ You’re not allowed to die on me, you promised me you’d never leave me, you remember that don’t you? You swore that I’d never be alone as long as I had you. Amethyst please…..This is all my fault…I should have payed better attention. ❞ She let out a choked sob, laying her face on Amethyst’s chest once again. 

❝ I’ll never forgive you if you die on me, so hold on just a little longer, please… ❞

“Amethyst…I…” She sat down next to the other gem, letting out a sigh as she did. “I’m not trying to push you away, I promise. I…I know about your feelings..I feel them as well. But..I’m scared.” She pulled her knees up to her chest, turning her head away. “I’m scared to let my feelings show, I’m scared of going forward when I’ve been hurt. I know it’s a stupid excuse, I know you’re sick of hearing me complain about it. Amethyst, I love you…but I’m so scared. I don’t want to be, I have no reason to be. But everytime I think about how someone better then me can come around and I’ll be alone, it fills me with so much panic and anxiety. It’s silly…I’m so stupid, aren’t I?You shouldn’t get close to me anyways, I’m a mess.” She looked toward Amethyst with a smile, tears rolling down her cheeks.
