Translucent

Sometimes I get a word stuck in my head. It’s just so profound to me. It goes in circles around my brain. Trans-luc-ent.

See through.

But still blurry.

Maybe similar to someone who needs glasses to see. Everything would be similar to translucent then.

Or translucent people.

You think you know them, but really you just can’t see quite what their hidden intentions are.

It’s a profound word that could explain many things.

It reads in the dictionary:

“permitting light to pass through but diffusing it so that persons, objects, etc., on the opposite side are not clearly visible”

Maybe I am translucent. I have so much built up inside of me. Like a sun about to explode. Like a torch goin off and the white light is blinding to look at. But I have this shell. My skin. Its the translucent part that seems to kill all the light that wants to pass through. So everyone in front of me can’t see the light that really shines within.
