Am I the only one who finds the Inquisitors in Star Wars to be so interesting?

I'm not fully caught up on the lore of them, but in Tales of the Empire it shows the birth of Inquisitors - and they were all willing to join (if you call willing trying to avoid death). While later on its usually said that they're made through torture methods.

Not sure why, but I just find them so interesting? I hope to catch up on more lore/facts about them.
