Tomioka Giyuu has multiple lights that shine in his darkness. However, there are two that shine the brightest. Saving Kamado Tanjiro and Kamado Nezuko was an offhand choice he had made a few years ago, but it is one he has yet to regret. The two had wormed their way into his cold heart, and they had set the precedent for the others. Now all of the children seem to cling to him. Muichiro has been talking to him more often, and prefers to sit with him and share mutual silence. Inosuke continues to challenge him to fights, but seems more receptive to anything he says there could be improvement on. Zenitsu oftens gets creeped out or overwhelmed with things, and runs to him in hopes that he'll help. Genya likes to talk to him about his brother, and Senjuro does as well. Kanao finds solace in the fact that they are both mostly solitary, and often likes to spend time with him through enjoying scenery together. Aoi likes the fact that he tends to keep the boys in line, she's even been asking him for tips about it. And those three smaller girls that work with Kocho, Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho, seem to enjoy playing with him and even help him sometimes with Kanzaburou. It's even helped with the hashira. Rengoku now can sympathize with him saving Tanjiro and Nezuko, he'd be blind if he couldn't see how brightly they both shine. Iguro and Shinazugawa still dislike him, but because he's taken care of their younger brothers their semi-friendship is less stilted. Uzui sees the same potential in Zenitsu as he does, and Kocho likes that he's finally bonding with others, even if it is the girls she takes care of. Himejima may be blind, but he knows that Muichiro is much more relaxed than he used to be, and the only reason he can think of is because of him spending time with Tomioka. Kanroji had initially understood why he defended the Kamado siblings, seeing as they were and are just children. She likes that he takes care of them. She also enjoys being around children, which subsequently means being around him because they all seem to flock to him. Even Ubuyashiki can see that he is happier, regardless of how much he can truly see and how much Giyuu shows it. He's seen, through his children describing it to him of course, how Giyuu lights up every time he gets a good letter from any of the children that have taken a liking to him. He's also seen how he grimaces and tenses when any of them send a letter about being injured and being in Butterfly Mansion, not to mention him going there as soon as he can to see which one or ones it was that got hurt. Everyone can see how much of an effect those siblings have on him. Even Giyuu himself can see how much they have changed him. Those two children shine the brightest in his heart of missing pieces, and have filled it so much more than he thought was possible.
