Hyukkyu's grip tightened around the tray he brought for his Lord Husband as he saw him holding a sleeping Lieutenant Han in his arms, gazing at the latter lovingly—a gaze that had never once graced his own eyes.

"Lord Husband," he called out, breaking Sanghyuk's loving gaze and startling the man as if he'd seen a ghost.

A guilty expression flickered across Sanghyuk's face before it was replaced with a blank one.

How long have you been standing there?" he asked, coughing to mask his embarrassment.

"How long has it been?" Hyukkyu countered, his heart aching as if a snake were constricting it.

"Long enough," came the reply that shattered it into pieces.

"Does he know?" "

He doesn't." A wry smile tugged at Hyukkyu's lips as he laughed silently at the irony of a couple harboring one-sided love.

Hyukkyu placed the tray on his husband's desk and left, not wanting to disturb the couple.

Since that incident, Sanghyuk hadn't seen a trace of Hyukkyu around their courtyard. When inquired, his servant mentioned that his master was busy at the military camp.

The next thing he knew, a decree came down from the palace, assigning his husband, General Kim, to fight off the invasion from the Barbarians. Before Sanghyuk could bid his husband goodbye, Hyukkyu had already left with his troops, not giving his Lord Husband a single glance.

As General Kim fended off the invading barbarians, Minister Lee was running tirelessly, doing everything he could to support the war and his husband. He secured funds and supplies, ensuring that the front lines remained well-supported.

Hyukkyu stood in front of the university lobby, stuck as the rain poured down with no sign of stopping. He puffed his cheeks in annoyance, remembering how he almost brought his umbrella, only to trust the weather forecast that promised a bright, sunny day.

Since the meteorology bureau's predictions were usually spot on, he figured he might as well lighten his bag. Now, he’s stuck waiting, with no idea how long he’ll be stranded.

His right hand was suddenly engulfed in warmth, startling him. Hyukkyu's eyes looked down to his hand intertwined with Sanghyuk's.

H: Y-You! What are you doing? We are in public!

He scolded him in a low whisper as he try to tug his hand free.

Sanghyuk smirk melted into a pout before he looked away from the alpaca looking man.

S: I won 5x Worlds, 2x MSI, 10 LCK cups. I'm LEE 'FAK-

Sanghyuk's mouth was suddenly covered, halting his speech.

H: Stop making a scene!!!

Sanghyuk eyes curled into a smile again.

He grabbed hold of the hand covering his mouth and held it in his hand.

S: So, Can I hold your hand for the rest of the night?

H: F-Fine...
