declan coyne goes roller skating (and almost dies)
content: kinda mean reader, early seasons declan so he’s a bit of a brat. takes place on the first date. reader was reluctant to trust him prior to the date.
“uh, no. no, i’ve never been rollerskating…” he responds, muttering as he fumbles with the straps of his rented skates. “no? i would’ve thought fancy guy like you would’ve done everything at least once.” you reply, tying your rollerblades with the grace of a renounced figure skater. “well i’m trying it now, aren’t i?” he chuckles dryly, smoothing his shirt out with his hands as he stands, trying his absolute hardest not to look like a nervous idiot. “touché.” “ah, look who’s fancy now? i didn’t know you knew french—” “oh, would you shut up?”
the moment you step onto the polished hardwood of the rink, you easily push off and glide across the smooth flooring, stepping in line with the clockwise moving of the other skaters in the packed rink. watching your effortless circling, declan steps into the rink without a second thought. once you’ve made your way to the other side of the rink, you look across to check on declan. to your pleasant surprise, he is on the floor, trying desperately to stand back up, tripping over the wheels of his skates and using his bare hands on the filthy floor to try and steady himself. you laugh under your breath, and continue gliding clockwise, not making too much of an effort to come to his safety, letting him make a bigger fool of himself as you watch. once you get to where declan is stumbling, you slow your skates, trailing your foot behind the other and twisting it to the side to drag the wheels of your skate against the floor.
“you havin’ fun?” you comment, lowering to a crouch beside him. declan groans from embarrassment, losing his balance and collapsing onto the floor. “this is mortifying.” he whines. “nah, i think you’re doing great.” you laugh. “can you just help me up?” he pleads. “what’s the magic word?” you can’t help but taunt him, kicking the man while he’s down. “please,” he scoffs. “just please help me up? i’m making a fool out of myself!” he continues. as much as you like watching him wallow and beg down there, you have to give it to him, he did what you asked. you grab his wrist and help him rise to the wheels of his skates, only for him to buckle over his feet with a yelp.
after that endeavor, you guided him off the rink and back over to the bench. he can barely get the skates off because of how overwhelmed with stress and embarrassment he is. “c’mon, declan. would you calm down?” you say with a teasing grin, sitting close next to him, your thigh pressed beside his. “that was awful.” he sulks. you take your skates off quickly. it doesn’t require much effort anymore, considering you’ve been coming to this rink for years. “that was funny. so what if you embarrassed yourself a little bit? i see someone tripping every time i come here.” you bargain. “yeah, well..” he scoffs, biting back a rude remark. “i wanted this to be an impressive first date.” he sighs. “whaaat? i’m very impressed.” you say sarcastically. “seriously, i mean.. you didn’t even hesitate to ask for help like you normally do. like most guys do. that was pretty impressive.” you mediate.
a/n: this sucks 🫰🥹 i just felt like writing for declan and this prompt seemed pretty in character, although my writing is prob sooo ooc. anyway i need to fix the degrassi x reader fic drought, there’s almost, if not literally, no fics.

Hey hey! Thank you! Comments like that mean so much to me (●♡∀♡) and of course you can!!! Please let me know what you think about this!
Fandom: Degrassi Next Generation
Characters: GN!Reader (I tried!), Elijah "Eli" Goldsworthy
Warnings: Fluff, maybe a bit OOC (I tried my best), not proofread
Prompt: babe. my love. song in my heart. are you purring
Eli sometimes hates everything. Okay, maybe more often than sometimes.
He hates Degrassi High. The Teachers. The students. His friends. The way everyone sticks their nose in things that aren't about them. Even his parents. A heavy sighed escaped his lips.
"What are you thinking about?" A voice interrupted his train of thoughts softly as if not wanting to aggravate him.
"About how I hate everything and everyone."
"Okay, rude." A low chuckle escaped him when he heard the pout in his lovers voice. Eli was tempted to open his eyes to look at the expression of them but he was too content with how he was. His eyes closed, listening to the their heartbeat while a hand caressed his head.
The goth tried to burrow his face deeper into the chest he laid on but sadly, it wasn't possible. He was as close as he could be. The heartbeat started make him drowsy. His lovers hand started to weave through his hair, slightly massaging his scalp. It was a pleasant feeling which made him relax even further into the body beneath him. It was silent for a couple minutes and Eli was about to open his mouth to say something but his words got stuck in his throat.
"Babe. My love. Song in my heart. Are you purring?!" Brown eyes ripped open wide and Elis head shot up, looking at his lovers face.
"What?! No! Are you delusional?!" A gasp left their lips at the question, prompting them to hit him with a Pillow.
"I am not! And you SO purred! I didn't know you could do that!"
"I did NOT purr! You're imagine things!"
"Nu-uh! I am pre~tty sure I heard you purring!" Eli just rolled his eyes.
"And here I was about to say that I do not hate everything and everyone, good thing I didn't!"
"Rude!"
“I can’t believe how big this house is,” you say as you trail behind Spinner and Jane. “Declan is so lucky.”
“Right?” Jane agrees. “I thought the same thing when I first saw it.”
“This isn’t your first time here?” Spinner asked, glancing at his girlfriend.
“Oh, yeah,” Jane says quickly, her eyes widening for a second before she takes Spinner’s hand in hers. “When Declan and I had that project for school. I told you about it, remember?”
He looked in thought for a second, using his free hand to slide open the door. “Right,” he trailed off, seeming to have completely forgotten that she ever told him about the ‘project’.
Jane quickly looked away from him. “Oh! There’s Holly J,” she said, pulling her hand from his. “I’m going to change really quickly.” She reached up and pecked Spinner’s cheek before taking off across the backyard, disappearing inside a tent.
You, having watched the whole exchange, furrowed your brows as you stood next to your close friend. “That was weird,”
“Yeah,” he said, looking over at the tent before his eyes locked onto the sizable barbeque. “Hey, there’s Declan.”
His hand brushes your arm as he steps away from you.
“I’m gonna go say hi,”
“Okay,” you say back, crossing your arms over your tank top covered chest. You glance around the backyard, your eyes meeting Peter’s.
“Hey, Y/n!” He said from his place in the pool.
You smile back, walking over and sitting down on the edge. Seeing as you weren’t in your bathing suit, you only drop your legs in the water, letting it cool your skin from the hot sun. “Hi, Pete,”
He floats next to your legs, splashing you a bit. “I thought you weren’t coming?” He asks. “Thought Spin had to work.”
“He did, but Emma’s back in town and he, like, hired her or something,” you tell him. “She took over his shift.”
“Ah,” he says, pouring a handful of water on your legs. “You should come in.”
“Yeah,” you trail off, looking over at the tent that was being used as a change room. “Maybe I’ll do that.”
You stand up, accidently bumping into Spinner as you do so. “Careful,” he laughs, his hands stopping you from stumbling any further. “Are you going in?”
“I was thinking of it,”
The two of you start walking towards the tent. “Nice,” he grinned at you. “Mind if I join you after I get Holly J’s order? Declan can’t grill anything right, even if you paid him.”
You laugh, bumping your shoulder into his. “Of course I don’t mind,”
As you near the tent, you both hear a sharp gasp that sounded an awful lot like Jane. You share a confused look before Spinner reaches out to the tent. “Yes, it’s still raw,” Jane says. “Let’s just say I won’t be swimming in Declan’s pool.”
Spinner’s brow raised slightly then he shakes his head, glancing back at you as Holly J speaks up, “You’ve taken that dip before,”
Your ears perk up at that, your eyes shooting to meet Spinners. “Wow, are we really talking about this?”
“Hey, it worked out for both of us,” Holly J says and Jane hummed in agreement. “Spinner never found out, Declan and I fell in love, plus I think the boys are even bonding over fire.”
“Thank God it went into the vault, huh?” You could hear the relief in Jane’s voice. You bite down on your bottom lip, your hand reaching out to graze your friends.
“As if Declan’s going to brag to Spinner about sleeping with you,” Holly J laughs.
“I’m so done with high school drama,”
You stop listening after that, tugging on Spinner’s hand. “Come on, Spin,” you say quietly. “Let’s just go.”
He stood there, still as a statute as he took in his girlfriend’s words. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, the tent’s wall was pushed open.
“Spin!” Jane’s cheery voice cut through the silence. “Hey, what’s the matter? You afraid of a little horse- what?” She cut herself off when Spinner pushed her off him.
He glared at her, his hand slipping from yours as his entire body tensed up. “You think I’m stupid, Jane?”
Jane tucks her hair behind her ear, confusion on her face. “Okay, what? What is wrong?”
You share a look with Holly J, who had stepped out of the tent as well. She looked equally as confused, and you looked equally as pissed. “Good old Spinner won’t even know,” he muttered.
“Know what?”
It seemed like Jane’s genuine confusion was his last straw as he steps towards her. “I heard you!” He yelled, pointing to the tent behind her. “In there, talking about Declan. You had sex with him, didn’t you?”
Jane’s eyes immediately filled with tears as she shook her head. “It didn’t mean anything, I swear. I swear, Spinner,”
“How long?” He asked, Jane’s heartbroken face adding fuel to the rage that was burning inside him. “How long did you guys..”
“Two weeks,” Jane answered, making Spinner close his eyes as he stepped away from her. “It was months ago and that’s what I’m trying to say. It’s over. It’s so over, Spinner.”
Holly J meets your eyes, a guilty look on her face as you shake your head at her. Some friend she was.
“So everything since then, every minute has been a lie?” Spinner’s emotions were beginning to get the best of him, you could tell by the way his voice was beginning to break.
“No,” Jane whimpered, glancing behind her very angry boyfriend. Spinner looked behind him as well, his anger growing at the sight of the guy who helped him get cheated on. “No, no, Spin, don’t.” Jane was too late as Spinner had already punched Declan square in the face, knocking the boy down to the ground.
“Spinner!” Holly J yelled, making him whip back around and point at her.
“Oh, shut up!” He screamed, making her put a hand on her mouth. You take a second to look down at Declan, who looked baffled beyond belief. “You knew about this!”
Jane shook her head, tears freely flowing down her face as she stared at her furious boyfriend.
“Good luck, with the rest of your life,” he said, backing away from Jane, his eyes broken and angry at the same time.
“Please,” Jane’s words weren’t even audible at this point.
“I’m glad it’s happening far away from mine,” with that, he turned around and stormed off towards the house.
You shake your head as Jane starts sobbing. Holly J wraps her arms around her as you take off after your heartbroken friend.
“Spinner!” You call out as you exit through the front door. You reached his car just as he started the engine, your hands placed firmly on the passenger’s side window. “Where are you going?”
“Away from here,” he said, his eyes staring forward as heavy breaths left his mouth. “You can come if you want, but I can’t be here a minute longer.”
At that, you quickly open the door and sit beside him. As soon as the door was closed, his right hand was placed on the back of your seat. He expertly reversed out of the crowded driveway and sped off towards town.
You couldn’t believe Jane. How could she hurt him in the worst possible way when he was nothing but good to her?
The silence was beginning to become unbearable, but you also didn’t know what to say. “Spin-”
“Did you know about this?” He cuts you off and you physically move back at his question, as if it was an attack on your person.
“What?” You ask, trying not to sound offended when it was he who just had his heart thrown on the ground. “No. I didn’t know about it.”
He glanced over at you, his hard and cold features softening for a second as you met his eyes. “No,” he repeated, more so to himself. “Of course you wouldn’t know about this. You’re not like them.”
You refrain from grabbing his hand that was tightly gripping the steering wheel. “Spinner,” you say quietly. “I’m so sorry.”
He looks over at you again, his hurt and teary eyes finding comfort in yours. Before he could say anything, the sound of sirens filled the air, making him look forward again. “Woah,” he stopped the car outside The Dot. Or what was left of it.
Your eyes widen as you take in the scene before you. “What the-”
Spinner was out of the car the second it was turned off.
“Spinner!” Emma said breathlessly as she ran over to him, her face covered in dirt and grime.
“What’s going on?!” He asked as you rounded the front of the car, your eyes fixated on the smoke that left the building in dark clouds.
“Spinner I am so sorry,” Emma nearly cried. “I already called 911.”
“Are you okay?”
“Yes,” she said quickly. “Spinner, everyones fine. The sandwich maker-”
“I told you not to touch it,” he said, his eyes flickering from her to the building behind her.
“I know! I know,” she said, rushing off to the side to where Manny was standing.
“Oh, my God,” were the only words you could mutter as the sirens grew louder.
Spinner glanced over at you, his arm reaching out to you. He pulled you back so you were standing next to him.
“It might not be that bad,” as soon as Emma said that, an explosion was heard and all the windows gave out, shattering glass in every direction. Spinner’s arm was around your neck in less than a second, moving your body so it was mostly covered by his.
Bits and pieces of glass hit your backs, but nothing drew blood. You pulled away once it was safe to do so, your heart dropping to your stomach at the broken look on Spinner’s face.
“Are you okay?” He asked, brushing the rocks and shards from your shoulders.
“I’m fine,” you say, taking his hand in yours as you both look over at The Dot.
Or, once again, what was left of it.
~
“This has been the worst week of my life,” Spinner muttered as you entered the bar.
“I know,” you say sadly, running your hand up and down his arm. “But luckily, there are ways to make it better.” You extend your arm out to the many bottles of alcohol that line the shelves behind the bar.
“I don’t know,” he trailed off. “Getting wasted just because I got my heart broken? Doesn't sound like me.”
“Would you rather go back home and sit on your couch for the rest of the night while you know who blows up your phone?”
“No, not really,”
“Then hush,” you grab his hand and take him over to the bar.
One drink in and you were hardly feeling the effects that come with drinking alcohol. But, Spinner seemed to be in a much better mood, thankfully, so you had nothing to complain about.
He looks over at you, an unreadable look on his face. “Thank you for not leaving me alone since, well, you know what,” he says quietly. “I thought I needed some time away from everyone, but I guess I just needed you.”
You grin at him, copying his position by placing your elbow on the bar top, your head resting against your palm. “No problem,”
He stares at you, a small smile forming on his lips. “God, you are beautiful,”
Your face heats up as you turn away from him. “I didn’t know you were such a lightweight,” you joke, running your finger around the rim of the glass.
“I’m not,” he said, reaching over to grab your free hand with his. “I don’t know why I’ve never told you that before.”
You shrug. “It’s no big deal. You were in a relationship for a long time,” you murmur. “You’re not too bad looking yourself.”
Spinner laughs, the sound bringing a smile to your face. “Do you want to do something really stupid?” He asks, leaning closer to you. “Like, really stupid?”
You hum. “Depends on what it is,” He moved even closer to the point where he was now hovering over the bar stool. His hand caresses your face as he leans down. Without warning, his lips press to yours. You sit in shock for a second before you pull away, keeping your face close to his. “Why did you do that?” You nearly whisper.
“Impulse, I guess,” he muttered back, brushing his nose against yours. “Do you want to do something even more stupid and impulsive?”
“Yes,” you answer quickly.
“Let’s go get married,” he said, surprising you. “Right now.”
You look at him in shock. “Now that is a stupid idea,” you say against his mouth, kissing him again. “But I’m all in.”
And that was how you found yourself running down the streets of Niagara Falls, your hand clasped in Spinner’s, a shiny, but cheap, ring on your finger. “Did we just do that?” You asked as you stopped outside the hotel.
“I think we did,” he said, grinning down at you, his hand tightening around you. “How could I have been so blind all this time? All I could have ever wanted has been right in front of me, all this time.”
You stand on the tips of your toes, brushing your lips against his. “Sometimes, life can surprise us,” you shrug. “I’m scared, though. What if you wake up tomorrow, with a much clearer mind, and regret this? We just got married without even dating first. What if this doesn’t work out?”
He grinned again, kissing you properly. Your back presses to the bricked wall behind you, your hands moving up to tug on his hair. “I love you, Y/n,” he said. “I think I always have.”
His words make your head fuzzy, a calmness taking over your body.
“We’ve been friends for years, and we’ve made it this far,” he points out. “And if you wake up and want to get a divorce or annulment or whatever, that’s totally fine, but I know that I won’t want to. I wasted enough time with the wrong people.”
You shake your head, your hand trailing his chest. “I love you, too, Spinner,” you say back. “I know I always have.”
“Does this mean you’re now officially Y/n Mason?”
“I think it does,”
“Wow,” he said, his fingers gently holding your chin. He tilted your head upwards, his forehead resting against yours. “I can’t believe you’re my wife.”
“I can’t, either,” you say before kissing him again, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and pulling him closer to you.

Word Count: ? Sorry that it’s a little long, also sorry if there are any typos.
Warnings: A couple curse words? Angst
Every night she found herself thinking “Why aren’t I good enough for him?”
You see, Y/N had feelings for someone. Someone who was her best friend. Someone who didn’t see her like that. That someone was Eli Goldsworthy.
“So anyway, she was totally being-Y/N? Hello? Y/N? Y/N/N?!”
“What, what?! Oh, my God, what?!”
“Did you hear a single word I said?” Fiona asked before Y/N sighed.
“No, sorry.”
The two were at Y/N’s house, in her kitchen studying, while also eating take out. Holly J was supposed to be there as well, but she had a lot of homework to do.
“What’s wrong?” Fiona asked as she closed her text book.
“Nothing. It’s just-I just have a lot on my mind right now.” Y/N said as she closed her text book, as well.
“Wanna talk about it?”
“I’m just so confused.”
Fiona’s eyebrows furrowed.
“About what?”
“Lots of things. School, feelings, life. Also-”
“Wait, wait, wait. Go back to feelings. Are you confused with your feelings for someone?” Fiona asked as she sat up.
“Yes, maybe, I don’t know. I think I like Eli.” Y/N said before Fiona’s eyes widended.
“You do?!”
“Yeah, I really do.”
The girls both squealed.
“Oh, my gosh! I knew it! Well, what’s stopping you?” Fiona asked before Y/N sighed.
“Clare.”
Eli and Clare dated, but Clare broke up with him. She soon began to date Jake, even though she wasn’t fully over Eli. Y/N was pretty positive that Eli wanted Clare back. But what she didn’t know was that Eli was trying to hide his feelings for her by thinking of ways to win Clare back.
“What’s Clare gonna do? She’s with Jake, remember?” Fiona said before Y/N nodded.
“I know. I’m just scared. If I tell him that I like him and he dosen’t like me back, that could ruin our friendship. It could make things awkward between us for the rest of our lives! And on top of that, I probably don’t stand a chance and he’s going to go back to Clare. And every time I look at Clare I think, ‘Why am I not good enough, but she is?’ ‘Why doesn’t he look at me the way he looks at her?’” Y/N said as she looked at Fiona.
“Oh, I see, you’re jealous.” Fiona said before Y/N rolled her eyes.
“Jealous? Y-yeah, okay, Fiona.”
“I can see it in your eyes and hear it in your tone! You’re jealous of Clare, Y/N!’ Fiona said before Y/N sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
“Okay, fine, yes! I’m jealous. But, it dosen’t matter. I’ll never be her.” Y/N said before Fiona sighed and hugged her.

The next day Y/N was at her locker.
“Y/N!”
She turned around and saw Eli walking towards her.
“Oh, hey, Eli.”
“Hey. So, you’re still coming to my play, right?” Eli asked before Y/N nodded.
“Yep, I wouldn’t miss it.” Y/N said before Eli smiled.
“Cool. Great I-I just wanted to make sure you were still coming.” Eli said before Y/N smiled.
“Well, I am.”
“Hey, guys.” Fiona said as she walked over.
“Hi.”
“See you guys around. Bye, Y/N/N.” Eli said before he walked away.
“Bye.”
“Did you see that?!” Fiona asked before Y/N closed her locker.
“See what?” Y/N asked as the two started to walk down the hallway.
“He said bye to you directly.” Fiona said as she linked her arm with Y/N‘s
“That dosen’t mean anything.” Y/N said as she rolled her eyes.
“Whatever you say.” Fiona said as Y/N shook her head and smiled.
***
The play was starting in less than ten minutes and Imogen was no where to be found.
Eli was sitting at a vanity backstage.
“Did you find her?” Eli asked as Y/N walked over to him.
“Nope. No one’s seen her. We’ve looked everywhere. She’s not even answering her phone. How are you doing?” Y/N asked as she stood behind him.
“Not that great, considering I don’t have a leading lady.” Eli said before Y/N lightly chuckled.
“It’ll be okay.”
“You don’t know that.”
“True. But, I believe you’ll be able to pull it off.” Y/N said before Eli sighed and stood up.
“How can you be so sure?! I don’t have a leading lady! This play is turing into a disaster!” Eli exclaimed as Y/N slightly flinched.
“It’s okay. Eli, just calm down-“
“It’s not that easy, okay?! God, Y/N, you just don’t get it! You’re so annoying! I sometimes can’t believe I’m even friends with you! You’re an awful friend!” Eli yelled before Y/N’s face fell.
“Oh. Well, if that’s how you feel.” Y/N said before she started to walk away.
“Y/N-wait! Y/N! Damn it!” Eli said before he kicked a chair.
“Care to explain why we just saw Y/N run out crying?” Fiona asked after she and Holly J walked over.
“She was crying?” Eli asked as he turned around.
“Yeah. She looked really hurt. What happened?” Holly J asked.
“I-I think I was having another episode and I went off on her.” Eli sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.
“Why don’t you go try to find her and calm her down?” Fiona suggested before Holly J nodded and left.
“Sure.”
“Okay, it’s just you and me here. Wanna tell me what happened?” Fiona asked as she leaned against the vanity.
“She came back here to tell me nobody’s seen Imogen and was trying to tell me thay everything would be okay and that everything would work out. I guess I didn’t wanna hear it and I lashed out on her.” Eli said before Fiona sighed.
“Oh, no. What did you say?” Fiona asked.
“I-I told her she was annoying and a bad friend and-”
“And?”
“And that sometimes I can’t believe I’m even friends with her.” Eli said before Fiona gasped.
“Oh, my God! Eli, that’s terrible!” Fiona said as Eli sighed.
“I know, I know. I just-I think I messed up the best friendship I’ve ever had.”
“Y/N! Y/N! Wait!” Holly J said as she followed Y/N down the hall.
“What, Holly J?” Y/N asked as she turned around.
“Come here.” Holly J said as she opened her arms.
Y/N ran into her arms and cried into her shoulder.
Holly J whispered soft sayings into her ear and ran her hand through her hair.
She then lead her to a bench.
“Now, what exactly happend?” Holly J asked after the two sat down.
“Eli happened. He told me that he dosen’t even know why he’s friends with me.” Y/N said as she wiped her tears.
“I’m sure he didn’t mean it.” Holly J said as she held her hand.
“You didn’t see his face, Holly J. He looked pretty serious.” Y/N said as she laid her head on Holly J’s shoulder.
“Well, the play’s about to start, so what are you gonna do? The audience is packed.” Fiona said.
“I don’t have a leading lady.” Eli said before Fiona sighed.
“I’ll do it. I’ll play Clara. I know the lines.” Fiona said.
“You don’t know the new ending.” Eli said.
“If I have to read my script on stage, then so be it. Bottom line it says directed by Fiona Coyne in the program. And like I said before I will not be responsible for a bomb. So, are you with me or what?” Fiona asked.
“I’m with you.” Eli said before they heard the music.
“That’s the cue. Better get stage left for my big entrance. See you in the spotlight.” Fiona said before she walked away.
“Show time.”
***
Holly J managed to convince Y/N to watch the play and the two were sitting in the audience.
“Thanks for coming, I just-I hate the way we left things. The truth is, you should be with me, not uh-him. Um-I’m sorry. Uh, what?” Eli asked after he looked at Y/N.
“Um-Maybe we should go away from here.” Fiona said before Eli looked at her.
“No, th-that’s not how it goes. That’s my line, not your’s. You’re not following the script!” Eli said.
“You’re not exactly following the script either, Ari!” Fiona said before the audience laughed.
“It dosen’t matter, you’re not her.” Eli said before Fiona looked at him.
“Eli, come on, we’re almost done. Just stick to the script!” Fiona said softly.
“What script? There’s not script! You can’t write your life! No matter how much all of you want a happy ending, you can’t have it! I tried to write one, but it’s impossible. I rewrote and rewrote but things kept changing, and I hurt people, and I-I knew they were hurting, but I didn’t stop. Because your mind tricks you. It tricks you into thinking that things are fine. They’re not fine, nothing is fine! It’s all wrong!” Eli exclaimed after stood up and took the script from Fiona.
He looked at Y/N, who had tears in her eyes.
“I’m all wrong. That’s it. There’s no happy ending.” Eli said before he lit the script on fire and fell to the ground.
“Um.. Lights!” Fiona said before the lights turned off and being everyone started clapping.
The audience stood up and applauded before the cast bowed.
Eli had tears in his eyes and looked at Y/N, who had tears in her eyes, as well.
As soon as everyone started going backstage, Y/N ran out in tears, with Fiona and Holly J following.
“I got it.” Fiona said as Holly J nodded.
“Okay.”
“Y/N! Y/N/N! Y/N! Wait!” Fiona said as she ran after her best friend.
“Leave me alone, Fiona.”
“No, stop, wait! Y/N?” Fiona said soflty after she turned Y/N around.
“What?”
“Look, he didn’t mean-”
“You weren’t there, Fiona. You didn’t hear him, you didn’t see his face.” Y/N said as she wiped her tears.
“How about we just crash at my place and forget about this whole nightmare?” Fiona asked before Y/N nodded.
“I guess that would be okay.” Y/N said before Fiona smiled and put her arm around her.
“Good.”
***
For the past few days, Eli had been doing everything he could to get Y/N to forgive him.
He tried calling her, texting, he even went to her house.
But, she contiuned to ignore him. She wasn’t sure if she’d ever talk to him again.
“Fiona, hey!” Eli said as he followed Fiona down the hallway.
“Oh, uh, hi, Eli.” Fiona said after she turned around.
“Do you know when Y/N’s gonna forgive me.” Eli asked before Fiona shrugged.
“To be honest, I’m not sure if she will. What you said really hurt her, Eli. Even if you didn’t mean it.” Fiona said before Eli sighed.
“Well, can you at least tell her that I’m really sorry.” Eli said before Fiona nodded.
“Sure. See ya.” Fiona said after she saw Y/N and before she walked away.
“Bye.”
“What did he say?” Y/N asked as Fiona came up to her.
“He just said to tell you that he’s really sorry. And he looked pretty bad. I’ve never seen him that upset.” Fiona said before Y/N sighed.
“What do you think I should do?” Y/N asked.
“Maybe hear him out.” Fiona said with a small shrug before the bell rang.
“I guess.” Y/N said before the two walked to class.
***
After school, Y/N decided to text Eli and tell him to come over.
Eli raced over there as soon as he saw the text.
“Hey.” Eli said after Y/N answered the door.
“Hi. Come in.”
The two went up the her room.
“Look, I’m really, really sorry. I honestly don’t know why I said those things. You’re not annoying, you’re actually really fun to be around. You’re also a great friend and I know why I’m friends with you, and it’s because you’re an amazing person.” Eli said before Y/N slightly blushed and smiled.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, I guess there’s something I have to get off of my chest.” Y/N said before Eli’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Okay, what is it?”
“I-I’ve been jealous of Clare.” Y/N sighed.
“Of Clare? Why?” Eli asked.
“Because of your history, because of the way you look at her, because she’s not me.” Y/N said as tears started to form in her eyes.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong? What do you mean, ‘she’s not you?’ So what? Who cares if she’s not you. You’re awesome.” Eli said as he wiped her tears.
“T-thanks.”
“Also..”
“What? What?” Y/N asked with a slight chuckle.
Eli placed his hands on her cheeks and crashed his lips against hers.
The two slowly pulled away and their eyes fluttered open.
“I really like you, Y/N L/N.” Eli said with a small chuckle.
“I really like you, too, Eli Goldsworthy.” Y/N said with a small smile.
“So, do you forgive me?” Eli asked before Y/N lightly smirked.
“Maybe.” Y/N said before Eli chuckled and connected their lips again.

fandom: degrassi
character: eli goldsworthy
warnings: slight swearing, but that's about it
summary: eli and the reader get a bit dominant over which desk they want. (they basically just fight over it lol)
the desk
you breathed in the new york air, getting out of the taxi, looking up at the college you were going to be attending for the next four years, nyu.
you make your way across campus, going to the building that held your dorm room, the warm august air hugging you gently.
once you had gotten to the dorm building, you opened the door and made your way up to your room, walking past the common room (i'm 14, idk what goes on in college lmao). you get in the elevator, press the level your dorm is in and wait till the elevator takes you to your destination.
the elevator comes to a stop, opening, letting you out of the metal box. you walk to your dorm, looking at the numbers on the doors, trying to match them with your room number.
finally, you reach the door with the matching numbers. you smile to yourself, knock on the door quickly, and turn the knob. "hello?" you ask, walking into the room.
"uh, oh, hey!" the curly brown haired boy said, "you must be y/n?"
"yeah, and you must be eli," you smirk.
"the one and only," he smiles, extending his hand.
you take his hand, shaking it. "so, when did you get here?"
"uh, about ten minutes ago maybe?" he said, letting go of your hand.
"alright, so have you chosen which desk and bed you want?"
"uh, i kinda wanted that desk," he pointed at the desk.
you eyed the desk, a smirk toying at your lips, "i want it."
"but-"
"no buts, i said i want it."
"but i literally called it."
"but i really, really want it eli," you said, pouting a bit.
"that's not going to work on me, y/n," he chuckled.
"worth a try," you shrugged, sitting on the desk.
"hey! get off the desk!"
"make me," you smiled, sticking your tounge out at him.
"you asked for it.." he said, walking over to you, picking you up, off the desk.
"eli! put me down!" you laugh, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"let me have the desk, then maybe i will."
"i would never do that."
"alrighty then," he stated, startling to spin around.
"eli stop! i'm gonna barf on you!"
"i'll take those chances. i'll stop if you give me the desk," he laughed, spinning fast.
"okay! okay! you can have the desk!"
"what i thought," he smirked.
he let's you down, smiling at you. you walk over to the bed on the left side of the dorm room (jj's bed, if you've seen the webisodes), sitting down.
"at least let me have this bed."
"okay, okay, fine."
you smile, sit on the bed, and look over at eli.
"can i ask you a question?" you ask.
"you just did, but sure."
"very funny. anyway, do you have a girlfriend back in good ol' canada?"
"uh, yeah, well... i did. we broke up because we thought long distance would be way to hard."
you nod, "makes sense."
"so.. what about you? do you have a special someone back home?"
"no actually," you smile.
"can i ask you another question?"
"you just did, but go for it," you say, using his own words against him.
"very funny. okay, well, would you maybe want to go on a date with me? it's fine if not, we just met and all."
"i would love to," you grin.
"uh, oh, um amazing! how bout tonight, we can go out and explore. my family and i came here over winter break and found some really neat places," he smiles.
"that sounds wonderful eli."
end.
OK HI !! SORRY THIS IS SO SHORT AND BAD :( BUT I HOPE YOU LIKE IT MWAH !!
It was so slow. The Dot was empty. Just (Y/n), Spinner and your boss. Cleaning tables. Chatting. Nothing exciting. (Y/n) only got the job because Spinner worked there but it she settled in quick and her crush on him slowly disappeared. Or so she thought. Or hoped. Or told herself at the very least. But then he'd make a dumb joke or something and they feelings would come back.
It sucked.
Mostly because it always seems Spin wasn't single for long. He looked so cute cleaning up a table and she couldn't help but sigh. It was very frustrating. Paige. Darcy. Manny. All were thin. Cute. Small. (Y/n) hated her size. She hated how few dates she went on. How it felt like every complement felt fake or in an effort to be nice.
"I don't pay you to day dream" her manager said, noticing her spaced out and staring at Spinner. She sat up straight and moved to clear out a table near a group of middle school boys she vaguely remembered from Degrassi. She picked the plates carefully only to apparently bump silverware off the boys table causing a round of laughter.
(Y/n) sighed and turned, picking up the silverware and putting it in the bucket.
"I'll get another set" Spinner said touching her back. Clearly he knew something was up. "Actually, you can take your brake, (Y/n). I got this" he smiled at her kindly. He did this she was cute. In fact she was in his top three hottest girls at Degrassi but he was only recently single and wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to ask her out but didn't want to ruin their comfortable friendship.
She walked off to the back room and Spinner turned to the kids. "Yeah, hey I saw what you did and I heard you guys making fun of her. If I see you in here again I will kick your asses" he said casually to make it seem he was being nice to not alert his boss. "So pay your bill and go."
"Whatever man. Just go kiss your ugly fat girlfriend" one sassed Spinner back. Spinner gave them a dirty look in which made them toss their money down and run out the door. However, Spinner didn't notice (Y/n) had heard that last part. Not until he turned to her pouring herself a cup of coffee with a sad look.
"Hey, (Y/n). Don't worry about them. They're dumb kids"
"No. They're right. I could lose some weight" she said softly, taking a sip of coffee.
Spinner gave a funny look. "No. You're so cute just the way you are. Hot even." He said reassuringly. "I've always thought you were cute. And funny. Smart. Caring" he rambled. "I mean... you're great." Spinner said with a smile.
She laughed softly and leaned forward to place a kiss on his cheek.
"Thanks, Spin" she smiled more.
Spinner couldn't stop grinning. He watched as she began to walk back into the break room.
He paused a moment before jumping up and going after her.
"Wait... (Y/n). Wanna go see that horror flick with me tomorrow?"
