The life of thresholds during the early morning hours in Shahjahanabad, also called Old Delhi or Puraani Dilli  :

Relatively silent , empty streets ! , closed shutters, morning papers, relaxed postures, plants - that have a chance to be noticed for once since crowds haven’t started thronging the streets yet, a wafting smell of soap, a drift of citrus from a vegetable hawker prepping for the day…
