I am finally listening to the post-Waters floyd albums and I gotta say, Learning to Fly is a lovely-sounding song. Also, based on this and what I’ve heard of About Face, I gotta say Gilmour’s stuff seems much more ... accessible. Poppy. It’s different from what I think of as the classic Floyd sound, but I like it (:

If you not heard it all ready. I highly recommend you listen to the division bell. I think that is the best post waters album. Hope you enjoy it J

I’m listening to it right now! I’m a fan of Take It Back, but I suspect I’ll have to give the album a few more listens before it grows on me more (:

You heard "High Hopes" then? That was one of the first Floyd songs I was introduced to, it's good at making you feel emotions you never knew you had.

Yes! I actually heard it for the first time at Their Moral Remains, it was one of the songs they played in the mini-cinema type area at the end of the exhibition (along with Arnold Layne and Comfortably Numb from Live 8). It’s certainly a very momentous-sounding song, the instruments are very grand and haunting (:

It's an album that grows on you. Though post Floyd you miss the lyrics of roger and his composition. Enjoy your day

Believable (: A lot of stuff by my favourite bands are things it took me a while to grow to love, actually. I agree that Roger’s lyrics are better, hehe. Have a good day too!
