Okay. So this is a giant weta. I accidentally found this thing on the internet. Since I share with you some weird stuff I want to share with you this thing as well. So here you go! Just a giant grasshopper. Some information about them. (very very little)
Large species can be up to 10 cm (4 inch). Their genus name, Deinacrida, means "terrible grasshopper", from the Greek word δεινός (deinos, meaning "terrible", "potent", or "fearfully great") That’s what wiki says.
Giant weta are endemic to New Zealand. New Zealand always has the coolest thing! For example kiwi bird!Ah. Anyway this little bug is eating a carrot. THIS IS SOOO ADORABLE Hope you guys will like this bug! ______________________________________________________
I am not really good at writing texts but I will try my best to improve this skill.
Stay happy! Freebie from Deincarida
The 'Giant Weta' is the largest insect in the world, and this is the biggest one ever found! Recently discovered by former park ranger Mark Moffett, this behemoth Deinacrida has a length of 7 inches. Proud finder Mark said, "She enjoyed the carrot so much she seemed to ignore the fact she was resting on our hands and carried on munching away".The creepy crawly is only found on Little Barrier Island, in New Zealand as the species was accidentally wiped off the mainland by rats introduced by Europeans. "After she had chewed a little I took this picture and we put her right back where we found her."
