Deity!AU Aiden worships Frank? That's interesting. From your other Deity art I would've thought Aiden would have more connection to Wally. Or possibly even Julie.

When it comes to Wally, I see Aiden meeting him later in life, not as a follower but as strangers. Wally meets Aiden at two different points of his life.

As for Julie, him and some of his people do make offerings to her for a good harvest but it’s not like their main god. It’s more out of respect, y’know?

That goes to Frank; Frank is what their homes culture sort of revolves around and whom they give the most respect and offerings to.

Aiden grew up worshiping him and is some of the very few to actually see and directly speak to him. And even with that being said, not all of the people of his home were called on by Frank personally to be a follower, Aiden was.

Sort of think Odysseus and Athena.

Also to add on to what I just said, no Aiden cannot see all the gods. They have to allow themselves to be seen, otherwise people do not exactly know what their deities look like. They have an IDEA but they may miss details from culture to culture ^^

Also! The gods call to you for what you need in life or sometimes what you’re passionate about. HOWEVER, they show themselves/speak to you when you are ready. If you are not ready for their guidance they will call with their signals (ex: Sally with the sounds of clapping or Barnaby dogs). You must follow your instinct to find them.

So with Aiden, Frank called to him when he was in need of knowledge and strategy as he was passionate about being a chief like his dad (the sort of ‘king’). Frank stayed due to how well they worked together.

Wally did call once but Aiden didn’t go to him at the call. Only later found him when Wally was wondering around on land out of curiosity. Wally helps him loosen up and have the carefreeness that he once had again.

The deities teach you lessons and its up to you if you want to listen. If you do not listen, they might not stay long.

A lot of it comes down to listening to your intuition and trusting them. hehe

What would any of the characters in your Deity AU do if they found someone being injured in their Temple? Also have you posted all of the reference pics of all the characters in your Deity AU?

Kind of depends on the deity and context but this is assuming someone is hurting a follower of their in the temple—

Sally would take IMMENSE disrespect and release her wrath onto whomever dared doing such a thing on her sacred grounds. Not really about the follower, moreso of sullying her grounds, how dare!

Julie would curse them with horrendous harvest if she notices.

Poppy would take her warm from them, leaving them cold. So cold even if they were to burn in lava if she notices.

Wally… would probably not notice. If he does, then he’d send storms to destroy their livestock.

Eddie hardly has temples so he probably wont do anything and he really wouldnt notice and most times would be too busy anyways.

Frank would help the victim strategies out of the situation or for revenge, often ending in killing.

Barnaby would sick dogs on them to kill or turn them into prey.

Howdy would strike lightning down near or on them if he notices.

Home def wont notice cause most of their temples are desolate as a retired deity.

These might change but this is how I see it as of now :oD

I saw you art for the God/Goddesses Neighbors and oh my god they are so pretty!! I can't wait to see what you do for Frank (they're my fav). Are he and Julie still besties in your gods AU?

Aw thank you~! I don’t remember if I posted their references— but I already have designs for all the neighbors ^^!

Frank and Barnaby don’t always get along

In fact, all the deities have argued at least once

But I feel Frank and Barnaby but heads a lot due to one being the deity of the mind and the other the heart. Barnaby lives for passion while Frank strives for strategy.

Hello!! These two paragraphs got me thinking;

If Aiden is one of the few that can see Frank, and the others in the village only have an idea of what Frank looks like; if Aiden asks, would Frank ever allow him to draw them? Then the village would know what they look like instead of just having a general idea of it?

Also, will Aiden ever learn that Wally is a deity in this AU or will he remain oblivious to it? I imagine Wally would tell him accidentally in some off handed comment and then Aiden would have a realisation moment and start treating Wally with like.. more respect (reverence?)? Then Wally would have to tell him that he can keep treating him normally

Frank would! He doesn’t mind being properly represented, and Aiden seemed so excited too…

Though his art skills in this lifetime leave room for improvement, they can sort of understand it! And Aiden corrects where he can.

His home is actually the few that have the most accurate depiction of Frank, but that doesn’t make him care for the others any less. His statue is in his temple a top a mountain and inside a cave, surrounded by butterflies and bugs.

As for your second query, yes! Aiden finds out Wally is a deity a little further into the relationship, but before they start to date. I imagine it happening on a walk together, Aiden being so confused by how curious Wally is, as if he’s never been on land before. And when asking, Wally just tells him, he trusts him, he knows Frank wouldn’t just choose anyone. At first Aiden wouldn’t believe him, does he look dumb? And Wally wouldn’t try so hard to convince him, he knows it’ll happen in due time. And it does, Aidens gut tells him so and he follows the sirens call one day, seeing it was Wally in his deity form…Hehe, and yes, Aiden does freak out at first but Wally reassures him to not treat him any different as before. Takes a bit, but he does. He was his friend to him before he was a deity to him. And it’s not hard to keep his secret either, Wally can easily blend in as the friendly stranger welcomed in, and overall very few find out the truth.
