One of my alters, for Clíodhna and Áine. My other alter is for Aoibheall and is still working on getting it how it needs to be. I’d like to move this to a bigger space but I’m not sure if that’ll work yet. I like this little table but it is fairly cramped.

Now that I know who I’m working with I want to do introductions with the goddesses but I need them to be not super long ones because communicating with them wipes me out and I have three. I’ll probably need to split it up between three days for above reason. Gonna do some searching for some ideas/options. If anyone has some, let me know please! The last one I tried was 30 questions and I broke it up into two readings and I still couldn’t get through it. And that was only one goddess.

I also think I need to do some art. I just found out I’m vaguely related to a famous artist and I wanna try my hand at doing spiritual art, as they did too. Any advice about this from anyone? I’m thinking acrylic paint or clay or both? Should I invite my newbie witch friend over and we have a spiritual art session together? Or should this be more a solo adventure?

Goddess of Earth

Jornga'ta has many names and as many—if not more—appearances. Many stories say she roams the realms in the appearance of her creations, such as a deer or a unicorn, while others say she is a giant tree amid her realm where all seasons meet, and some speculate she lives under her tree in the ground.

Jorn created four Deities—four Guardians—that became known as seasons, although their powers go far beyond the seasons they have been named after. She gave her powers to them to guard, which is why during the War of Gods, Winter took the side of the Goddesses and the one who gave him life, betraying the other Gods for a war he never agreed upon.

Like most Deities, she is benevolent and cares for not only her creations but all life. Her tree can be found in every realm for all to seek out. Don't let appearances fool you; she's there and she's listening.

Loki’s introduction prank…

The other night I had a vivid and concerning dream. I dreamt of wolves and an entity in my mirror. Entering the mirror I met a shapeshifter who took the forms of multiple of my deities, who claimed to be a deity. I woke up concerned there was a trickster spirit in my mirror. I cleaned my room and cleansed my area immediately.

Well only now did I find out that it was Lord Loki playing a prank on me. It was confirmed through pendulum reading and a tarot reading I had received. His introduction was scaring me into cleaning my room.

Not a Usual Witch Tip

January 9th, 2019

I started to write one...was prepped for a back up.

Started to write the back up because I didn’t have time to finish the super long one and...

I had a revelation. A message. A whatever you want to call it with a deity. Literally was looking up pocket watches, then a blank spot. I was reading an article about this deity I hadn’t heard of specifically before. I don’t remember searching for the article, or how it was on my computer.

I’ve never had anything like this happen before. It’s just, very emotional? So many things in my life and especially the past few years that I’ve turned my life towards have just taken on a new meaning and significance.

Things I’d forgotten, things I’ve wanted to do. Things I’ve been wanting to do and had no idea how to do them. Me as an individual, my experiences and what my passions are never seemed to fit with any deity. Sure, one in this pantheon, another in that one.

I’ve always advocated for looking to your own culture and heritage when looking for traditions and deities, and I tried looking at mine, but I guess I didn’t look close enough because He was there.

Don’t know for how long, or how involved. I’m now dealing with feelings of “am I enough of my own culture.” Along with realizing its like I’ve already been living as a devotee for literal years. I showed a few friends who work very intensely with their own deities and they all read just a short blurb about him and all agreed it’s a trip how much He seems to be...well connected to me.

Like I said, it’s been an emotional day, I’ve cried several times and been caught in fits of giggles.

So I guess my tip is, don’t force it. Just be open to whatever comes your way. I’ve been practicing for over 14 years now and actively pursuing my own spiritual fulfillment and then this happened. Some deities seem to be a quiet progression of signs, letting you know they’re there. Other times, you live your life and then they show you “You know that’s because of me right?”

So now I’m digging deep. I’m reconnecting to parts of me I’ve let slide. I’m trying and it’s scary and exciting and every other emotion. There is an intense sadness as well, and it’s a good thing because the only way to deal with it is to feel this sadness I’ve pushed away for years.

Hello! I'm a very beginner witch and hellenic worshipper. I wanted to introduce myself to Hestia but have no clue how to go about it. I saw your Aphrodite introduction, so I was wondering if you could offer some guidance?

Well I used tarot and my own intuition to talk with Aphrodite. I need lots of signs to know, idk how you are with this stuff. But I lit candles and gave her an offering and then just kind of introduced myself how I would with someone new like “hi my name is ____, can we talk?” And then tell the deity about yourself if you feel comfortable. Then later ask if it would be okay to worship her. To be honest you don’t even have to do a huge ritual, it could be a quick prayer. It could be any way you are comfortable with. Also do more research about Hestia and what she likes. So that way you can be confident when talking with her. I hope this helps a bit! I don’t know too much about Hestia. 🙏🏻

Just introduced myself to Aphrodite

I set up a little altar on top of my dresser, in front of my mirror and jewelry box and a vase of dried flowers. The altar was: my libation cup, a string of plastic white pearls, a shell that I had offered to her in libation earlier that day, a necklace with a pendant of two interlocked hearts, a fancy china teacup (passed down from my grandmother or possibly great grandmother) as an improvised second libation cup, and my tarot cards (a deck of recycled-paper playing cards) spread in front. I veiled with a light pink flower-patterned scarf (I got it from Italy, when I went there a few years back) in a traditional style (semi, I think. It's the one pomegranateandivy did a tutorial on) and wore a knitted shawl that was a gift from my grandmother. Libations were tap water, sun/moon water, & a couple drops of rose oil, and a pinch of cardamom bath salts. I used my ouranic prayer beads (passed down from my non religious mother; my grandfather brought them back from the Middle East/Mediterranean area. Not sure specifically where). I followed literally no formula, just talking to Her and explaining why I was praying to her, why I sought to honor her, the offerings I was giving. I was kind of hurrying, because I knew that my mother and sister would be home from guitar lessons soon, and I really, really didn't want to get caught. So, I slightly rambled, but I hope she heard me and understood. Wrapping up was basically just rehiding everything, replacing the stuff like the teacup and the libations cup in their display places around my room (they look like trinkets, it's a good plain sight hiding place), removing and putting away my veil and shawl, and pouring the libations down the bathroom sink.
