Smaugust day 8: Atlas

For day 7 it's Atlas! I admit, this one was a bit rushed. Forgive me, I'm tired and my kitten wants to kill me for sport and I'm not sure I actually slept last night.

Atlas is a Silkwing and one of the "protagonists" of the Allwing prophecy. I put protagonists in quotes because I'm not sure how I'm actually gonna go about writing the Allwing prophecy, if I ever do.

Atlas was found by an unnamed Nightwing in the rainforest as a hatchling. Said unnamed Nightwing then took them to the queen of the Rainwings and Nightwings, Queen Brilliant, who decided to raise them as her child.

when it came time for Atlas to metamorphose, everyone, including Queen Brilliant and Atlas themselves, was shocked to see flaming orange silk pouring from their wrists.

When Atlas emerged from their cocoon, they were in a cave with Queen Brilliant and a Skywing named Phoenix who they didn't know.

Phoenix, being a firescales, taught Atlas to wield their power safely.

After that, Queen Brilliant... changed. She started threatening dragons with Atlas' flamesilk. She made Atlas start handing out cruel punishments with it. Atlas caught her talking to her ally Queen Pyre (the Skywing queen) about Atlas' flamesilk and some conflict with the Icewing kingdom.

It all came crashing down when Atlas was asked to kill a Nightwing named Omen with their flamesilk.

Atlas fought Queen Brilliant, and pretty well, too. But Queen Brilliant was stronger than them.

And just when she got the upper hand, Phoenix rushed in to save Atlas. He took them far away from the rainforest. Far away from Queen Brilliant.

Atlas is now in hiding, knowing they'll never be able to return to the rainforest kingdom. Now they're helping a Nightwing named Clarity search for a prophesied "Allwing", hoping that that will be what they're remembered for, rather than what happened between them and their adoptive mother.

Smaugust day 10: Queen Brilliant

Day 10! Queen Brilliant!

Brilliant is a Rainwing/Nightwing hybrid and the current queen of the Rainwings and Nightwings. Under her rule, the rainforest has become very closed off from the outside world, aside from their alliance with the Skywing Kingdom.

Brilliant was brought a Silkwing hatchling one day, which she named Atlas and decided to raise as her own.

And when it turned out that Atlas was a flamesilk wielder, Brilliant saw a perfect opportunity to become the most feared queens the rainforest has ever had.

See, Queen Brilliant has a secret... she's powerless. No future sight, no mind reading, no fire breath, no venom. Her only natural weapons are her teeth and claws.

This is what led her to close off the rainforest, she was afraid that if anyone manged to get to her, she wouldn't be able to defend herself. So she surrounded herself by the most powerful dragons she could find, including a Nightwing prophet named Omen and, of course, Atlas.

Using her alliance with Queen Pyre, she brought a firescales Skywing named Phoenix out to a cave on the edge of the rainforest - the same cave in which she would eventually have Atlas carry out punishments and executions against her subjects - so that he wouldn't burn everything down, and had him teach Atlas to wield their powers safely. She didn't expect him to come back when Atlas attacked her.

Its... unknown what happened to her after that. Queen Brilliant, Atlas, and Phoenix weren't seen again. But dragons that happened to be nearby that day say they heard screams and smelt burning scales as they saw two dragons flying into the distance.

Citrus! Another Allwing Prophecy character!

Citrus is a Rainwing who lives in Possibility working as a bartender in the tavern owned by his father, Komodo. He's Charming's older brother and Tango's younger brother (by a day or two).

He tends to keep to himself, but a lot of dragons in Possibility like him. Charming confides in him quite often, as he's the only one who doesn't believe Charming got their family cursed.

He's a great guy, and is definitely not gonna have anything bad happen to him.

Cookie Run ocs

I started playing Cookie Run: Kingdom for the first time in probably over a year and felt compelled to make some ocs, soooooo here they are

Neapolitan Cookie - yeah I honestly don't know what to say about her. I just wanted to make a character based off of my second favorite ice cream flavor. Why is she a cat? I have no idea! It just felt right! At least now I can turn her name into a pun. (Hehe... NeaPAWlitan)

Honey Owl Cookie - I don't know what to say about her either. She's a cool warrior bird lady from some faraway kingdom full of bird cookies or something. She's currently away from home on some important mission and wants to return as soon as possible to reunite with her little sister. (Also I accidentally made her look a bit like Golden Cheese Cookie, that was an accident, they have no relation to each other whatsoever)

Syrup Owl Cookie - Honey Owl's younger sister. She wants to be a big strong warrior just like her big sister. She begged to go with Honey Owl when she left, but wasn't allowed to because she's too little. Her orange scarf was a gift from her sister.

Yeah I don't know what I'm gonna do with these guys, I pretty much made them just for fun. I wanna make more, like maybe a rock candy cookie or Honey Owl and Syrup Owl's parents (who's names I'm saying are Marmalade Owl Cookie and Butter Owl Cookie). I could

Smaugust day 12: Dauntless

Day 12: Dauntless. I actually drew this yesterday, hence why it says 12 instead of 13. It wouldn't let me make the post for some reason. I was tired anyway so I decided to just post it today instead. I might take a break from doing my Smaugust drawings for a day or two anyway because this is getting a bit exhausting.

So, Dauntless. She's a noble seeker (seeker = basically a dragon who's good at finding things and gets hired to do such, usually finding stolen items, sometimes lost dragons) from the Night Kingdom and a master of manipulation. Having not been born under a full moon, she has no powers, but she can still word her way out of almost any situation.

She ran into a dragon named Clarity one day whilst wandering the streets and, noticing the silver scales by her eyes, Dauntless saw a perfect opportunity.

Clarity became a perfect tool for Dauntless to worm her way out of all the crimes she committed. Using her mind reading, Clarity told Dauntless exactly what to say to get her out of any suspicion thrown her way.

Over time, Clarity became less of a tool for Dauntless and more of a companion. Fondness turned to infatuation, and infatuation turned to obsession, until Dauntless couldn't leave Clarity's side.

...until she got caught.

Clarity's powers led them wrong one day, which pointed all the suspicion straight back to Dauntless. Clarity attempted to stay behind and hold the guards back whilst Dauntless got away.

And when Clarity found her again, a group of guards came from the shadows behind her and arrested Dauntless, while thanking Clarity for leading them straight to her.

And so, Dauntless was thrown in prison, betrayed by the dragon who knew her better than anyone.

Osprey and Carnelian

So, I have this little headcanon that Carnelian and Osprey were related, maybe he was her grandfather or great-uncle (which is how Carnelian knew Peril), so I figured I'd draw something inspired by that headcanon

I gave them both curled horns and orange feathers just to add some resemblance between them. They also both have just the slightest pink tint to their scales, which is actually also the case in the graphic novels!

+ extra Carnelian drawing, I was gonna give her the necklace she has in the graphic novel (which I assume has a mountain lion claw on it which is really cool) but I forgor

(This was originally going to be Carnelian's mother, who I named Wildfire, but as the drawing went on it started looking more and more like Carnelian so I just made it Carnelian, I have another drawing of Wildfire but it's not done yet)
