L’imbranato Pippo, mangiando un’arachide speciale che cresce solo nel giardino di casa sua si trasforma in Super Pippo. A differenza dell’uomo d’acciaio non ha il punto debole della kriptonite, ma un problemino lo ha comunque: l’effetto delle super-noccioline (dette anche “spagnolette”) è mutevole e, a volte, dura poco.

In the 1960s Gold Key Comics published an adventure comics called “Space Family Robinson: Lost in Space”. It was created by writer Del Connell and artist Dan Spiegle independent of the better know TV series and even predates it by a couple of years.
I loved Spiegle’s art design. Free of a TV show budget, the series had a unique space ship - actually a space station. To reach the many exotic planets the family visited, they used sleek space mobile of chrome and plastic bubbles.
Take Twentyseven: Del Connell (1918-2011)
Den Connell passed away, a true veteran of the animation industry.
He wrote one of my favourite shorts: The Cold-Blooded Penguin.
Idea is king when it comes to animation, and this short has it all.
