T'was the week after Christmas, and all through the year,
DJ Mary did her best to spread holiday cheer.
The party was unsuccessful, but why nobody could explain,
Everything was set up to the ’T,’ but alas it was all in vain.
After the Park’s lackluster event, the Director was glowering;
His temper was so fierce it sent most the staff cowering.
“Director, calm down, please do not fret,
"There’s still the raffle; we can turn this around yet.”
Mary smiled, promising this wouldn’t happen again;
But so far after the event, how would she even begin?
So she thought and thought ‘til her thinker was sore;
They’d do the raffle on-air, just like before.
Perhaps it wasn’t wise to run an event so late,
But DJ Mary wasn’t just gonna sit around and wait.
So she flipped the switch LIVE quick as a flash,
The Director was shocked; he’d never seen anything so brash.
“Ladies and gents!” Mary called in a voice that rang clear.
“The time for the raffle is finally here!”
Grabbing a clipboard, she smoothed out the creases
And proceeded to rip the list of attendees into teeny tiny pieces.
“We’re terribly sorry to those in faraway lands,
"Now we know things don’t go quite as we planned!”
She had to choose a name, and choose it right quick!
She disregarded the raffle machine—who'da thought it’d be handpick(ed)?
So Mary mixed up the pieces before closing her eyes,
Snatching up a name as if it were its own prize.
“For the name of the winner—the first on our list—
"Is none other than Serena; oh, what a twist!”
But the game wasn’t done, there were more names to play;
The second winner, it seemed, was strong in her own way.
“Looks like Malva is next! Oh, what a treat!”
This was one person she’d be overjoyed to meet.
Two names down, but still two more to go,
The DJ picked the third winner, a very handsome beaux.
“Aurelien, congrats! You’re the next to win.”
She then had an overwhelming urge to make him some poffins.
A second to pause and Mary glanced at the clock: it was nearly six.
She’d better call the runner-up 'lest she’d miss Ben’s music mix.
“Our final winner tonight is someone quite jolly,”
Mary began with a laugh, “Please congratulate that shy boy Wally!”
DJ Ben burst into the room and together they clapped,
With Mary’s bout of confidence, the event was finally wrapped.
“That’s all for now,” she concluded, “We’ll see you real soon.
"Continue to listen in for your previously scheduled tune.”
And with the raffle finished, Ben’s smile was bright.
He kissed Mary with passion; “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.”
SERENA, MALVA, and AURELIEN—Congratulations! Your names were the first to be drawn in the raffle. You may now pick one (1) shiny Pokemon as your very own, so long as it is an Ice, Rock, or Steel-type. There is no need to wait for the other winners to make their pick; everyone can choose whichever type they desire, regardless of what other types were chosen.
WALLY—Congratulations! Although you weren’t part of the Top Three winners, you will still receive a prize. Head on over to DJ Mary’s booth at the Radio Tower to claim your reward; she has something very special for you.
