#delayed triggered abilities

Hi judge,

If I play a creature for its Blitz cost, and have a Sundial of the Infinite, I assume I'm correct that I can wait for the delayed sacrifice trigger to go on the stack during my turn and then end the turn and keep the creature. Is this a situation where the ability will trigger again during the next end step, or because it's already triggered it won't trigger anymore? And am I also safe in assuming because of the way it's worded that Blitzed creature will always draw a card when it dies?

There's only ever one sacrifice trigger for a creature that's cast for its Blitz cost, and once it's been put on the stack it can't trigger again, so ending your turn once it's there will spare your blitzers.

You have to wait until your end step, though, or the trigger won't have happened yet and will just happen on the next player's end step.

They'll keep the haste and card draw triggers for as long as they remain on the battlefield, though.

I control Teysa Karlov and play Massacre Girl, and many creatures die. Does Teysa double the delayed triggered ability from the deaths each time, or is something other than a permanent I control doing the triggering and Teysa isn't able to see it?

No, Teysa won't double those triggers.

Why? Because Massacre Girl isn't the source of the triggers, but rather her ETB trigger is. It set up the death triggers when it resolved.

However, there's no such thing as a second order source in Magic. Also, the source is a triggered ability, not a permanent, so Teysa couldn't double those triggers anyway even if she could trace them back to Massacre Girl.

Hey! Thank you for all you do! I had a quick question, I’m sure it’s been asked before in some way but I couldn’t find it anywhere. If I activate Chandra, Flamecaller’s +1 and make two elementals, then I play Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, if I chose the Myr he makes for his ability, will I still exile the two now Myr tokens Chandra originally made? Thank you for your help!

The tokens will still be exiled.

The delayed trigger created by Chandra’s +1 ability will exile the tokens created by the ability no matter what they look like when it resolves. Even though Brudiclad turned them into Myr, they’re still the tokens that Chandra created, so they’ll be exiled in spite of their clever disguises.

Saheeli, the Gifted and Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer. I have 4 1/1 servos from Saheeli from previous turns. I use her -7 ability to create duplicates. I come to my combat phase with Brudiclad out, I use his second ability to make all tokens the 1/1 servos. Do the copies from Saheeli still get exiled at the next end step?

Yes, you still have to exile the tokens that were created by Saheeli’s ability.

The delayed trigger only cares that those permanents were created by Saheeli’s ability, not what they happen to be at the moment of the trigger resolving. There’s no way to save them with Brudiclad’s illusions.

Does cycling renewed faith trigger fire song and sun speaker?

No.

Gaining life from an activated or triggered ability of an Instant or Sorcery card, or from a delayed triggered ability created by an instant or sorcery spell, isn’t the same as the instant or sorcery spell causing you to gain life. The activated or triggered ability is causing you to gain the life, and so Firesong and Sunspeaker won’t trigger.

This is why the much touted “combo” of Firesong and Sunspeaker with Spiritualize doesn’t actually go infinite. Or do anything other than cause you to gain a bit of extra life, really.

I've flickered my Clocknapper using Angel of Condemnation's first activated ability, which will return it at the beginning of my next end step. I also have Conjurer's Closet on the battlefield, which flickers a creature at the beginning of my end step. Will I be able to stack the triggers so I can flicker Clocknapper again using Conjurer's Closet?

No.

At the beginning of your end step, both Conjurer’s Closet and the delayed trigger from Angel of Condemnation’s activated ability trigger. You have to choose a target for Conjuror’s Closet’s trigger when you put it on the stack, but the creature that was exiled by Angel of Condemnation isn’t back on the battlefield yet at that time, and so it can’t be chosen as a target.

If I use Feldon of the Third Path to make a copy of the Humble Defector in my graveyard, then activate it, giving control of it to my opponent, will they still have to sacrifice it at the end step?

No. 

You have to sacrifice it, but you can’t sacrifice a permanent you control, so nothing happens when that trigger resolves. This means that the token sticks around. It’s just a normal free token now.

If I pay a creature's dash cost to put it onto the field and then use Hazoret's Favor to target that creature at the beginning of combat, assuming it survives combat, what happens to it during my end step?

At the beginning of your end step, the delayed triggers from Hazoret’s Favor and casting the creature for its Dash cost both trigger. Since you control both of these triggers, you choose the order in which they’re put on the stack. You can choose to either return the creature to your hand before you have to sacrifice it or to sacrifice it before you have to return it. The choice is yours!

The choice is also seemingly obviously, but would you really deign to trick the mighty Hazoret after she bestowed her favor on one of your creatures? Rude.
