Ingredients: 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons cream of tartar. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 3 tablespoons granulated sugar for rolling. 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for rolling.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined. In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for rolling the dough. Shape the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated. Place the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between them to allow for spreading. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Enjoy your delicious Classic Snickerdoodles Cookies!
