Happy New Year foodies! 2018 was a fun food filled year in which we saw plenty of fads and trends come front and center. 5) Brussels Sprouts time in the spotlight is running out- A few years ago many of us detested brussels sprouts, if we even knew what they were. The last couple years they have been a go to side dish for many restaurants and eaters. We are getting bored of Brussels, and see them not going extinct necessarily, but thrown on the back burner.

4) Cauliflower Pizza is here to stay- If you haven’t tried Cauliflower pizza yet it is incredible. Did you ever think you could feel guilt free when eating a pizza? Throw some veggies on there and you can enjoy one of your favorite vices without feeling stuffed for days!

3) Probiotic on the go snacks will rise to the occasion- A key to a long and healthy life revolves around our gut health, and with that comes a rise in probiotic tasty snacks. Who wants to take a pill when they can have a chocolate covered yogurt morsel?

2) Kimchi takes over Kale- We already mentioned gut health, and Kimchi is at the top of the list of foods that are high in vitamin A, and C. Kale doesn’t taste good anyway, and Korean food is awesome!

1) Delivery food packaging will finally improve- With all these fast food behemoths getting into the food delivery game at the speed of lightning, expect innovations that help food taste more fresh by the time it gets to your door.
