Did somebody say National Tapioca Pudding Day?
Do you like Italian Beef dry or wet/dipped? That is the question!
Where are our Italian Beef fans at?! Today happens to be National Italian Beef Day. Unless you don’t eat meat, you will be hard pressed to find somebody that hasn’t indulged in an Italian Beef at one point in their lives. Originating in Chicago, this beast of a sandwich consists of thin slices of seasoned roast beef, simmered and served au jus on a long French Roll.

Depending on how juicy you like your sandwich, some taste buds prefer their Italian Beef drenched in gravy, and others are fine with it dry. Is anybody else craving an Italian Beef today?! We are going in for the kill on that gravy!
Have you ever eaten a Snail?
National Escargot Day has snails on our minds! Escargot consists of edible land snails after all. A love hate relationship with our taste buds, it seems to be an all in or all out type of food for folks. A very good source of lean protein, and rich in iron, magnesium, and potassium. Not to mention tryptophan, which is an amino acid that produces serotonin. So are you intrigued now to eat some Escargot?!

Reese’s: Peanut Butter Cups or Pieces?
We have Harry Burnett (H.B.) Reese to thank for the creation of Reese’s. When it comes to Reese’s you really have a win win on your hands when thinking about peanut butter cups or pieces. They are both delicious and provide your taste buds with pretty much the same outcome, deliciousness and a sweet tooth cure! In saying that, there is nothing like a good food debate.

As we celebrate National Reese’s Day today, you have to ask yourself where your loyalty really lies. Do you prefer those mini pieces or the larger cups? On one end, Reese’s Pieces allow you to indulge in more candies. However, those peanut butter cups are so tough to beat. In our humble foodie opinion? The Peanut Butter Cups are victorious between these two gems. Do you agree? Or do you prefer Reese’s Pieces?!

Sweet tooth Sunday edition: Happy National Chocolate Truffle Day!
Very fitting for National Chocolate Truffle Day to fall on a Sunday this year! Being the day of rest and all when many of us allow our taste buds to dance on the sweet side. Who can really resist a chocolate truffle? Consisting of a chocolate ganache center with chocolate and cocoa powder coating, sometimes even coconut or nuts, they make for a nice treat. Who is diving into one of these sweet morsels today?!

Do you like Raisins?
As a kid I would always get frustrated when I would bite into a cookie thinking it was a chocolate chip, and then to my dismay I would bite into a raisin. I personally have never been that keen on raisins. However, many of you have a love affair with Raisins, or at least enjoy them as a snack from time to time. From oatmeal, cereal, trail mix, to stuffing, or even solo and coated in chocolate, raisins come in handy in many ways. What is your favorite way to eat raisins?
Grilled Cheese life: Sourdough bread and sharp cheddar
When Grilled Cheese comes up in conversation what usually comes to mind? Simple pleasures, and Tomato Bisque perhaps? There is for good reason also always a debate on which cheese to use in the grilled cheese. Lets take this a step further and determine what type of bread is best to prepare grilled cheese on.
So which breads are the best candidates for a grilled cheese? Right off the bat we have to give a nod to Sourdough. Throw some cheddar cheese in between a couple slices of sourdough bread and you’ve got a gem on your hands. The best way to prepare it? In our humble foodie opinion the best bet is with a pan. Throw that heat on medium high, chuck some butter in there and throw the bread on for a minute or so on each side and let that bread get crispy and flavorful!
Go ahead and add the cheese about thirty seconds before removing the bread from the pan. It will melt quickly and help a perfect grilled cheese come to fruition! No need to dive into any other type of grilled cheese combos because you really can’t beat the sourdough and cheddar lethal combination! Who else is going to honor National Grilled Cheese Day today by eating one?!
Munchie Madness: 5 snacks to indulge in during the tourney!
March Madness has arrived. Not like many of us have needed an excuse over the past year to be in netflix and chill mode. However, being in the food delivery business and all, this is naturally one of our favorite times of year. Lots of binge watching sports and eating!
Some of us are superstitious and have lucky foods that we think give our favorite teams a better chance to march on to victory. We like to abide by whatever our taste buds are in the mood for. With all that being said, if you are more in the food delivery or pickup mood than snacking mood? Enter the code: munchiemadness in the coupon box at checkout on our app or wesbite to get $3 off every order the rest of March in honor of March Madness!
Back to the snacks, here are a few we will have handy that will be within shouting distance of that remote control!
5) Popcorn is a no brainer. Are you more of a cheddar cheese or caramel type?
4) Nachos- Makes for a great party snack or game watcher for that matter!
3) Chips and Guacamole- Throw some salsa in the mix too!
2) Cinnamon and Sugar Pretzels- Pretzels are great without the sweet addition, but it is March Madness afterall!

Let March Madness begin!
Creamy or Crunchy Peanut Butter? That is the question!
March has arrived and with that comes National Peanut Butter Lovers Day to get the month rocking! Peanut Butter is a go to for many of us foodies. If you do love peanut butter, do you prefer creamy or crunchy? Whether you are making a sandwich with some jelly and/or bananas or just coating some peanut butter on a pretzel or even right out of the tub, texture goes a long way.
Creamy and Crunchy peanut butter both provide such different experiences, to each their own. Is anybody else craving some peanut butter today? Just keep a beverage handy, possibly some milk perhaps?!
Have you eaten a PB&J lately?
Happy National PB&J Day everybody! We love simple pleasures in life, and when it comes to food is there anything better in that regard? All you need is a couple pieces of bread, a slab of peanut butter and jelly and voila, you’ve got a delicious snack! An ever so reliable snack or even meal, and you don’t have to be a gourmet chef to prepare an amazing pb&j sandwich!
Grape or Strawberry Jelly you can’t really go wrong. Are you more of a creamy or crunchy peanut butter type? Do you like your bread toasted? These are all win win decisions either way, because anyway you prepare a PB&J it is going to be tasty! Maybe add some banana slices to the mix!
Super Bowl Sunday: Pizza and Wings is the best combination!
Peanut Butter and Jelly for good reason have a stellar reputation for meshing very well together in the food world. Super Bowl Sunday is tomorrow and with that pizza and wings naturally come to mind. Both foods that you can have for family and friends and make everybody happy. Of course there will be the chips and salsa, and countless dips with some carrots and celery to make everybody feel like there are at least some vegetables present.
Lets call a spade a spade. Super Bowl Sunday goes hand in hand with treating yourself to comfort food. It is pretty much a national holiday when you think about how many people are tuned in. Who else is going to be eating pizza and wings tomorrow? Make it a delivery day!
If there was a snack hall of fame...these 10 belong there!
When February rolls around many people have winter and valentine’s day in their minds. Did you know that it also happens to be National Snack month? 10) Sunflower Seeds- Spittable shells makes this a really fun snack!

Carrot cake tastes better than it sounds!
Carrot Cake has always held a special place in my heart because it is my mother’s favorite cake! So with it being National Carrot Cake Day today, it feels right to highlight the cake that might not always get the best rep in the bakery. When you are up against Chocolate Cake for starters, how do you even compete? Then you throw the name of a vegetable in front of a cake and it seems pretty bleak!
Have you ever tried Carrot Cake? Don’t always judge a book by its cover, because it is surprisingly tasty! A white cream cheese frosting mixed with carrots in the batter. You will usually find some cinnamon, ginger, and ground mixed spice as part of the equation. So next time you are in that sweet tooth mood, maybe give Carrot Cake a try. My mom’s birthday is May 24th, and I will never forget when I was a kid thinking that her favorite cake was Banana! Not to worry mom, you’ll be getting a Carrot Cake on every birthday from now on!
Is Peanut Butter a staple part of your diet?
Did anybody else rejoice knowing that it was National Peanut Butter Day yesterday? Jelly’s best friend, something bread loves having around. Banana makes a helluva sidekick. Even celery is tolerable when peanut butter is in the mix. Chocolate Chip cookies are incredible, but peanut butter cookies deserve a bit more respect. Simple pleasures are important in life, especially now more than ever before. Anybody else craving a peanut butter sandwich right about now?!
New Years Resolution? Try more new foods!
Hopefully everybody had a great holiday break and brought in the new year with a smile! What else can we do after such a crazy 2020? Naturally food is always on our mind and we figured what the heck, why not commit to trying more new foods this year! We are all creatures of habit, and that never holds more true than with food. You go out to a restaurant and there may be countless options, but how often do you deviate from your normal breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack routine?

This year we are excited to let our taste buds adventure a bit more! Maybe it will be trying some new toppings on pizza, grabbing curry instead of pad thai every time we grab Thai food. Or perhaps Sriracha gets replaced with Gochujang sauce. What is Gochujang you might be wondering? A Korean red chili paste that has a nice kick to it! Maybe you’ve always been a chocolate ice cream indulger and will dabble with vanilla this year.

There is no better feeling than that of discovery. You may surprise yourself and like some foods that you never thought would be on your radar. Our taste buds. After all, us humans do have about 10,000 taste buds and they change every 2 weeks! Just like our car needs an oil change from time to time, maybe 2021 is the year where you let your taste buds run rampant a bit and switch things up! No tomatoes on sandwiches? Maybe that will change this year! Wishing everybody a very happy and healthy 2021!

Photo from depositphotos.com
Honey-Glazed Ham is as flavorful as it gets, and as much as Turkey can do the trick for many of us, when Christmas Dinner comes to mind, the Honey Baked Ham gets the nod of approval from our taste buds!
