Delmonico Potatoes are a classic side dish featuring thinly sliced potatoes baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce until golden brown and delicious.
Ingredients: 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup heavy cream. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper, to taste. Chopped parsley, for garnish.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Melt the butter and add it to a small bowl. Add the heavy cream and garlic powder and mix them together. Put half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish that has been greased. Add pepper and salt. Cover the potatoes with half of the butter mixture. Add the rest of the potatoes on top, and then pour the rest of the butter mixture over them. Put foil over the baking dish and bake for 40 minutes. Take off the foil and bake the potatoes for another 20 minutes, or until they are soft and golden brown. Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving.
