In this glasshouse the cacti and succulent plants were overwintering avoiding freezing temperatures and wet conditions. The evergreen succulent Delosperma echinatum (pickle plant) was still managing a few flowers on the slender, trailing stems with pairs of bright green, fleshy leaves covered with soft, white spines.
